PC Amsterdam Metagame

What do you guys think will rule the PC Amsterdam metagame? It's a ways off, but I don't think it's too soon to make predications.

My thought is New Gotham. It has very few bad matchups (though a rocky Common Enemy matchup doesn't make the deck any easier to play), should be able to punch through Going Rogue pretty effectively, and can stop anything Titans can dish out (including those nasty payment powers, Mr. Harper).
 
I've been a fan of Curve Sentinel decks as of late, and they're starting to get popular it would seem, so I'll go as to far to say that Curve Sentinels could do pretty well...

I hate Curve Sentinels with a passion. They make me want to play Titans or B&B.

They do have a good shot at a strong showing in Amsterdam for sure, though. I believe there was one (but maybe 2) build that went 8-2 day 1 of soCal, even in the Titan-dominated field. Decks like this give my New Gotham trouble, because they require the repeated use of all my beats in order to match oversized characters.

I hate Nimrod with a passion, btw. :)
 
Don't forget, there will be lots of time to practice with Marvel Knights since it will be out well before the PC. I think most of the decks mentioned will do well, but I hope some superman and MK decks see play as well.
 
Actually I'm currently working on a Superman deck just so I can show them some love. I think I'll run it up in the 10K in Columbus, OH, although I'm not sure...

Go with something new and innovative (wow... that was kind of a pun there), or go with what I know works...

It's a hard decision... Superman or Curve Sents...
 
I'm just curious. How much is the entry for the tournament? And is the winning prize really reach 10,000 Dollars?.
 
PC prizes actually I think go nearly to 40 grand if I remember... I'm not sure... 10K tournaments award $2500 to first place (it's 10K to the top 20 in the tournament is what it means by the name).

PC tournaments are only 4 or so a year and give out a million annually, so with that in mind, they've got quite the open ended prize wall for first place, so I'd say its somewhere around 40 grand... not sure though.
 
Not sure on entry cost, but the only way you can enter is by getting 10 PC points (which is hard in it's own right, the easiest way is to win a PCQ, but if you find it hard to do that, you can accumilate them by entering and placing well in several PCQ's). Here's how PCQ's distribute points.

1st: 10 pts
2nd: 5 pts
3rd/4th: 2 pts
5th/10th: 1 pt

When you gain 10 pts you can enter a PC tournament.

10K tournaments distribute points differently, but I believe it's top 10 get 10 PC points, 11-20 get 5, something like that, it's like 10 times the amount of points that would normally be given out at a PCQ.
 
There is not "entry cost" per se for a Pro Circuit event, but they are by invitaion only. You get an invitaion as indicated above.
