Plasma, Horus LV4, Karma Cut

I read somewhere that if effect of Relinquished or Plasma activates and you chain something that destroys Relinquished or Plasma, then the monster targeted with that effect will be destroyed.

Now assuming that the above is correct, what will happen, when the Plasma tries to equip itself with Horus LV4 (while negating its effect) and it's destroyed in response? Will Horus LV4 be destroyed or will his effect "kick in" and stop opponent from taking control of it, thus stopping Plasmas effect and preventing it's destruction?

Ehh, no it's not true, if something is chained to Relinquished or Plasma (that destroys them) their effects will just disappear.

Actually, if something something is chained to Relinquished or Plasma the target monster is sent to the Graveyard.

I'd have to agree with Dasher. Plasma's effect is no longer active, so Horus LV4 is now immune to being sucked up.

Whoa, that's a new one I missed. As I recall the effects of Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Restrict would disapear according to the old rulings. I guess this is why they closed down the old Judge List.

Hmm, interesting. So the effect doesn't disappear after all, if its card is moved somehow. The effect still tries to resolve, but it cannot equip properly, so the monster being absorbed is sent to the Graveyard.

Um...not to burst any bubbles here but...."Horus LV4" isn't even a valid target for effects like "Relinquished" or "Plasma".
