Priority Questions

Some Priority questions, I ask them so I learn good how that Priority and rest works. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Player A is the Turn Player.
Player B is the opponent.

a)Player A summons a monster.

b)Player A says I want to use my Priorty or Player B ask do you want to use Priority ?

Now both players may respond to the summons or just activate an effect.

c)Player A may now use Priority to activate an Ignition-Effect of a monster (1. Multi-Trigger too ?I think he/she may) (2. the summonsed monster but may he/she use an Ignition-Effect of a monster which he/she already has face-up on the field ?)
or a Spell Speed 2 and 3 Spell/Trap card. Now Player A gives Player B Priority to chain to chain link 1 (an effect in respond to the summons or just activate an effect that can be chained) on the effect that Player A used. Than he/she gives back Priority to Player A etc... they do this until they won't or can't activate effects anymore and then they chain resolves.

Player A summons monster use Priority to activate the Ignition-Effect of the monster. Player B chains Bottomlose Trap Hole (may he chain Torrential Tribute instate of BTH too ?) I think he/she can for the same reson as he/she can chain BTH

This card can only be activated when the last thing that resolved in the Duel was the opponent Normal/Flip/Special Summoning a monster(s). It cannot be activated at any other time.

Both; if the Turn Player wants to use an effect, he/she should make that clear. If the Opponent wants to use an effect, he/she must ask the Turn Player whether he/she is going to pass Priority first.

Only thing I would add to this is to always ask your opponent in this situation. First, it clears up any potential problems. Second, it won't reveal your strategy as only asking if you intend to do something would.

Since we are talking about priority, don't forget to always ask the opponent if they can "undo" the summon, via Counter-Traps

I'm personally against that one, as I feel it opens up the doorway for someone claiming that you've passed on your priority by asking if they were going to activate something. But time will tell, I suppose.

There is a difference I'm trying to elucidate in that there is a space for a counter-trap to undo the summon before priority is declared. You ask something along the lines of: "Is the summon legal? I still retain priority, but is the summon legal?"

I realize the motivations. I'm just a little uncomfortable with it. The way you state it would be the correct way of asking. But I see the possibility of it being asked poorly by the kid at the shop, or the new guy who only just learned what a Jinzo was, or the girl who only plays every month because her boyfriend got her into it. I just feel like it isn't neccesary to ask such a question when the mechainics of the card are so situational. And I'm afraid it will open up the door for more confusion.

But like I said, its out there already and there's nothing I can do about it. Tme will tell if it will create the problems I forsee in it.
