Hello all...don't know if you remember me, it's been a while since I've been here.

Purchased my first pack yesterday in months and pulled a Rainbow Dragon Ghost Rare...and now I want to build a deck around it, but know hardly anything about it.

What are the strategies? What's a general decklist? etc? Is it a cheap deck type? (I have to do this on a small budget (about$5/month)).

The Crystal Beasts are a rather inexpensive deck type since most of the key cards are commons, 1 is a Rare, and 2 are Ultras. The Rainbow Dragon while decent has you running Crystal Beasts you normally wouldn't run (not that they're bad per say, just you're better off sticking with multiples of the good ones).

The best suggestion is either keep it for your collection or trade it off for most anything you want since it does have excellent trade value especially for collectors (such as myself).
 
Thanks. I think I want to use the Rainbow Dragon in the build, I did pull it after all.

Do you have a general decklist/checklist of the Crystal Beast cards?

Also, what kind of trade value are we talking about for the Rainbow Dragon? Could it get me Card Troopers, Crystal Seers, etc?
 
check ebay prices i bet youll be suprised, i actually got 2 ULT raizas and 2 troopers for one but i wouldnt be looking for that kind of trade because the kid mustve been desperate.
 
My suggestion to you would be to trade it for something you need for your current deck rather than try to build a deck around it. The 3 Rare Values and 3 Pegasus you should have for the deck will be difficult if not impossible to obtain on 5 dollars a month unless you already have something you can trade for them. You might even be able to find somebody willing to trade you a Trooper and a Seer for it but I would look to trade it fast as every week it's out it gets a little cheaper. I can be positive you could at least get a Trooper or a Seer and something else for it right now, because I would offer that much and I don't really need it. Find somebody who needs it and you should do pretty good.
 
Rainbow Dragon doesn't seem that hard to pull off, actually. In fact, here's a little deck list I made up for a Rainbow Dragon deck. Hope it helps ya out. ^_^

Just a quickly made deck made with reckless thought.
 
i dont like rainbow dragon decks as their too inconsistent but itll be alot easier to make both decks soon as rainbow dragon and sapphire pegasus are in tins sapphire pegasus in wave 1 aug 29 and rainbow dragon in wave two sometime in september
 
Coolness. I like the decklist, thanks! I got some of the Crystal Beast commons if a few packs (along with a Volcanic Doomfire, which I traded for Reign-Beau, Overlord of Dark World) and really like them. I've ended up keeping my Rainbow Dragon also, the trade fell through - overseas shipping is too expensive!

So i might get an extra Dragon, or maybe 2-3 Pegasus, at least in trade, in November.
