I Finally got around to updating this post. The deck has lived for about 6 months now and has gotten to the point that is it tournament worthy. The main problem I face is Emergency Provisions...

I recently went up against an effective Deck-Out Deck that shares some similarities with yours. It was a little different in that it was more of a true Deck-Out Deck as it didn't have any of the burn your running, it was truly tring to deck it's opponent out (and it did even with my 46 card deck) It ran the Spear Cretins and Morphing Jars and I think I saw a Reload or two. But one thing it ran that you might want to consider:

Hiro's Shadow Scout
DARK/Fiend/2 Stars/ATK 650 /DEF 500
FLIP: Your opponent draws 3 cards. Both players look at the cards . If there are any Spell Cards among them, discard all those Spell Card(s) to the Graveyard.

It's searchable by your Mystic Tomatos and Sangan, a flip effect that will load there hands up and more support for you Secret Barrels. It also speeds up the deck-out process for your opponent and doesn't effect you at all which may keep you from running out of cards too quickly. (Of course, that discarding a Spell Card is nothing to sneeze at, either.)

And if I might offer one more suggestion, and even I'm a little leary of it because I haven't test run him myself, but you might also want to consider a:

Grave Protector
DARK/Fiend/4 Stars/ATK 0/DEF 2000
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, monsters that are destroyed as a result of battle are returned to the owner's Deck instead of being sent to the Graveyard. The Deck is then shuffled.

In tandem with the Reloads it's a great way to keep your deck Recycled, another searchable DARK for the Tomatos and Sangan and since it doesn't look like your attacking your opponent much his monsters are still going to the Graveyard and your getting your **insert monster here** returned to your deck (that 2000 defense is, also, nothing to sneeze at.) I'll admit its not seen a lot of play so I can't vouch for it's effectiveness, but it look's perfect for your what your trying to do. The Hiro's Shadow Scout I can vouch for however, as I have faced it repeatedly and it truly sucked (for me).

Maybe one or both of these two monsters will help fill any gaps your deck may be still missing.

it's not a deckout deck... it's a OTK burn
Exactly. I wasn't sugesting it was a true deck-out deck. Just that it had the deck-out properties and you yourself stated that (you) decking-out was one of it's weaknesses. I only suggested the two cards because they contribute to the things your trying to do: Load up your opponent's hand and protect yourself until you can Seceret barrel them to death. Just suggesting you might want to test run them. They seem to fit in with your theme.

A)I wouldn't know where to put them
B)unessisary
C)I didn't say I had a problem decking out, decking out is always my intention. Usually if I deck out I'm going to win.

Who lowered the average rating on this post? Step forward so that I may challenge you to a duel! I will defeat all non-believers!

P.S. Changes have been made to the deck and are posted :D

vortex

this deck is good it beat me in a battle he used liike 2 secret barrles on me and used cannon soilder to deal more damage. this is a fun deck to play use should face it.

this deck is incredible

I played this deck the other night. Often times the opponent has the needed cards in his/her hand to counter the combos. The problem is exiled never gives you the chance. By your third or fourth turn you have about 12-20 cards in your hand and as soon as you draw you are nailed in the face with 3 secret barrels!

If anybody thinks that this deck isn't simply amazing, try dueling it and come back and post after u get pwned.

Changes have been made and posted.

By the way. I ENCOURAGE anyone who wants to to try this deck out to do so. As long as you don't credit yourself for the idea.

Updates have been posted.

I finally got a Needle Worm for my side deck so tonight I will, for the first time ever, be taking this deck to an official tournament at P&T Sports in east bridgewater mass. The tournament starts at 6pm ON THE DOT if anyone wants to come ($5 to play).

This is partially a celebration of my completion of my academic year.
Ok, people/things I need to thank...

-First of I'd like to thank Chaos Emporer Dragon for inspiring the idea
-I would like to thank the people who post here at netrep for helping me understand the game mechanics and rulings on cards like Desert Sunlight, The Shallow Grave, Apprentice Magician, Night Assailant, and Spear Cretin
-I would like to thank everyone who has dueled this deck and in doing so helped me improve it
-I would like to thank the mill deck duelist who used Desert Sunlight on me for the first time, wherever he may be
-I would like to thank Konami for banning Change of Heart, Fiber Jar, and Magical Scientist while simultaneously making Sangan legal again
-I would like to thank my friend (I don't remember which one) who re-introduced me to Spear Cretin
-I would like to thank the orange, red, blue, and especially pink sheep who have saved my @55 many times
-I would like to thank my Reloads for inspiring me not to give up on my deck
-I would like to thank my Cannon Soldiers for picking up the extra slack when Cyber Jar was removed or just didn't cut it, you've really pulled through for me
-Finally, I would like to thank myself for my persitance/stubborness, dedication, and unique deck building style

Wish me luck, I will let everyone know what happened at the tournament when I get back to my dorm room tonight.

Ok so the first round of the first match I won by a hair. She has me down to 3000 life points and she had 6 cards left in her deck as did I. She was running a dark scorpian deck. I set Morphing Jar and Desert Sunlight, used The Shallow Grave on cyber, and in her draw I activated Desert Sunlight to have cyber resolve first and morphing second to deck her out.

I elected not to side deck and most of the duel was just me having my one turn getting Cyber Jar off over and over and I hit her for 10200 with x3 Secret Barrels.

I win the first match

The second match I was playing someone with a really random deck. He slowed me down with a Divine Wrath and Hallowed Life Barrier and he won the first round.

I made the EXTREEMLY stupid mistake of side decking 10 cards to make my deck a deck-out. Why it was stupid? Well, i thought that I should make it a deck-out because he had Hallowed Life Barrier... what i didn't notice was that he was running a 50 card deck!!!! He side decked Tower of Babel which did 3k damage to me but that didn't matter. In the end he used HIS Morphing Jar to deck ME out.

I lose the second match and get eliminated from the tournament. :(

Maybe next time :)

It's 3am in the morning and I'm set to judge the top 8 SJC NJ, the regionals event taking place, and possibly the Vs. PCQ all at the same time. I can't fall asleep for some reason... I really want to. I finally got my official judge shirt (dry tech my @$$) and I'll have a second in 6 hours. For those of you looking for me by finding the judge wearing a green hat with duelist league pins on it... I couldn't find it... and time to look for it... because I wanted to eat morning and evening rush hour traffic by leaving at 11am... it was supposed to bea 4 hour drive... it was an 8 hour drive... with a stick Shift... my left leg was killing me when I arrived at my grandma's house. Anyway I managed to find Da Yugioh Legend and if you wan't to find me tommarow I'm the caucasian judge with glasses, black hair, and I'm way overdue for a haircut. I'm staying at my grandma's he because it made sense for me to come the night before so I would rested for the big event... I could have stayed in one of the hotel rooms expeses paid but I needed to wash my underwear because I left my cloths on the staircase back home.

Anyway, I'm watching my judge-fried play at tabe 4 3rd round and get a strange feeling about the other guy's deck. So, I go around look in his hand... I notice a Book of Taiyou... a Shallow grave (could still be a deck-out) and I notice a Secret Barrel! When he finished beating my friend to a pulp I say to him "out of curiosity, where did you get that deck Idea?"
His response? he looks at me and says "from you"
"really? What forums?"
"Netrep"
"who are you on netrep?"
"I don't know I was using my cousin's name"
so he was running some cards I wouldn't run...
Luster Soldier, Metamorphosis, Jar of Greed.. He wanted to use Morphing but he didn't have one.

I tell Jason from Metagame about his deck and what happened and he decides to do a feature match on it. As a side note, after the tournament was over I managed to get a duel with Mary Triatafilidi and won using my Cyber Jar OTK

please exuse all bad spelling as it is now 3:25, I had to re-type some of this cause my computer hates me... not takingthe time to spell check... deal with it :p

P.S. I'm going to take a look at my writing style in the morning and wonder what the h3ll I was thinking.

We shall all wheep the loss of the Cyber Jar Otk... for it has had a good, long existance of 10 months... longer then most original decks last in a competative environment. The deck was like a son to me... I created it, I improved it, and it worked only for me; those who tried to wield it's power failed miserably. It gave me many humorous accounts and pissed off other people to no end; to my delight, of course.

So... now that Book of Taiyou has been limited and Makyora the Destructor remains banned the deck is not very possible. I had three options when I found out about the Book of Taiyou banning.

The first was to make the deck traditional format. This idea was quickly thrown out due to the fact that no one plays traditional. The second Idea was to make the deck a non-OTK by increasing their hand size and slowly burning my opponent with Secret Barrels and Restructer Revolutions. This idea was also thrown out because in the end the deck wouldn't be able to hold it's own against teir 1 decks. The final Idea was to make it into a Mill deck...

The mill deck can be found here:
