If I play Reasoning and I have no monsters left in my deck what will take place ?

Ruling #4: If no monster is picked up, shuffle your Deck and put it back in the Deck Zone; the effect of "Reasoning" Disappears.

But there are no cards left in the deck they have all been picked up and no where in the rulings or the cards text does it mention adding the cards picked up back to the deck and shuffling.

What I posted is one of the rulings. #4 to be exact. That is why it is a good idea to check the card registry.

That would be horrible if all of your remaining monsters were at or near the bottom of your deck.

Yeah, nice 3000 lp take away to your opponent, just sit down and see the deck go thin, and thin, and thin.... then activate it, and happy holiday, you just received a 3000 hit! ouch!

Reasoning will also become a key card for Exchange of the Spirit, the new promo for the EEN Sneak Preview. Use Reasoning to mill your own deck and not your opponents. Then activate this new card to Exchange decks with graveyards leaving your opponent with no draw.

It will be perfect in traditional format... Only a couple of monsters in your deck (about 5 or 6 or so) Painful Choice, Exchange of the Spirit and Reasoning in your hand. Activate Reasoning... Activate Painful Choice and choose makyura as 1 of the cards and hope that Makyura will go to the grave... Finally, hope that you have more than 15 cards in the grave

All cards picked up when Reasoning is activated are not sent to the graveyard until a monster card is picked up. At that point all cards are sent to the graveyard except the monster if it was a level other than the one chosen by the opponent.
