say relinquished has stolen a blue eyes and has 3000 attack (i like using blue eyes in examples)
and ur using the 3000 relinquished to attack the cats ear tribe. what would happen?

does relinquished go all the way down to 200? or would his orrginal attack be considered 0 and cat actualy boosts him to 3200?

Yes it says Become hence meaning it was somthing before it asorbed the monster. It is now somthing else, the orginal attack is still 0 because thats where you started from. Orginal is what is printed on the card, not what it becomes after Relinq Asorbs somthing.

Looky what I found!

The attack of the "Thousand Eyes Restrict" would become 200.

Now we have our answer!

Hmm... just to explain the "why" that's the case (and why I was wrong before).

It's the effect of "Relinquished" (and "Thousand Eyes Restrict") that determines his ATK/DEF, same as it is with "Maju Garzett", "Chaos Necromancer", "Muka Muka", etc. Since "Cat's Ear Tribe" sets all of the rest to 200 with its effect, it would stand to reason that RQ/TER would be set to 200 as well.

The part of the confusion is the fact that there may be an equipped monster on RQ/TER. Well, here's what makes that different. If the equip card was "Axe of Despair" or "Megamorph", those specifically have the effect of raising an ATK on top of what it currently is (like "Axe") or just overriding other factors and setting it to something (like "Megamorph").

The monster equipped to RQ/TER has no effect like that. It's just a monster turned into an equip card. It's RQ/TER effect that looks at that card and then determines the ATK/DEF. But from what was said above "Cat's Ear Tribe" temporarily overrides that effect with its own and sets it to 200. Afterwards, because RQ/TER effect is continuous (like "Muka Muka") and not determined solely at the time it was summoned (like "Maju Garzett"), it's able to recalculate its own ATK/DEF.

Hopefully that answers this question completely.
