Return from the Different Dimension EP1-EN008

Return from the Different Dimension
Normal Trap

Pay half of your Life Points. Special Summon as many of your monsters as possible that have been removed from play on your side of the field. During the End Phase, remove from play all monsters that were Special Summoned by this effect.

Perhaps one of the best "surprise" cards in the game. While half your life points can be costly early on, in the late game it's a small payment. Also this has 2 edges over "Dimension Fusion" in that you're always guarenteed to be able to pay "half" compared to 2000 life points. Also, you are the only one who gets the effect. With many abilities out there that can remove your monsters from play, this card works great as a 1 shot deal to bring them all back, swarm your opponent and usually win the game. Also being a trap gives it great comboability that "Dimension Fusion" lacks. Try running this with "Last Turn" and watch your opponent really be upset when he's forced to attack something while you're still left with up to 4 other monsters to protect you. :)

With careful setup, this card is deadly in most decks and a strong addition for most players.

Ret. From Diff Dimension.. I totally dig this card. I think it is way better than Dimension Fusion since you are the only one to get to use the effect. Maybe only for one turn, but if you were smart you would have removed some powerful monsters........ Definitely a great surprise card to finish the game with....

4.2/5
Gren maju Deck... 5/5

I ADORE this card....then again, as a lot of you know, I adore all kinds of weird cards <laffin>

My favorite way to use this card is in my dedicated fusion deck. It works outstandingly with Fusion Gate and a couple of fusion sub. monsters combined with Thunder Dragon.

Perhaps the greatest thing about this card is that you can attack with a monster, checking to see if that attack goes through without a resisting trap being activated....then spring Return from the Different Dimension in the middle of battle phase bringing back four more monsters and swarming with a confidence. Then, in main phase two, use those same fusion monsters while Fusion Gate is still on the field to Re-Fuse those monsters sending them out of play again and leaving you with more purple people eaters.....and those out of play fusion material monsters waiting safely for your next Return from the Different Dimension....IF you need it...which 90% of the time you won't after having swarmed so harshly.

Combine Fusion Gate, Soul Absorption, and Return from the Different Dimension for some wild fun.

i love maestros combo... that was amazing.

john has the right idea too...

hell, EVERYONE has the right idea lol.

for some reason, i never liked this card too much. i considered using it a few times when i ran chaos, but that was it... but now, im getting second thoughts.....:

Return from the Different Dimension + The Spell Absorbing Life + Soul Absorbtion...= Lots of LP gain (to an extent).

The IMT combo with it by maestro is something i probably would have never thought of... my first resource would have been Soul Release or the likes of Silpheed, Strike Ninja, freed (the brave), Fenrir, etc. oh, and Lekunga. and bazoo.

perhaps the best part is that your opponent has no gain whatsoever. this card works well with D. D. Warrior Lady and D. D. Assailant too, after you use their effects, bring them back and use them again... (she is on the card, along with Dimensional Warrior, Manticore of Darkness (which i dont get) and Orca (which i also dont get))

Rating:
In just any deck: 3/5
In a Chaos/Fusion Gate/Etc. deck: 4.5/5

Art: 4/5 MUCH better than Dimension Fusion that looks just.. wrong... (reminds me of child birth... o_O) ::gag::

Ive noticed that the majority of people fall into two camps: for Dimension Fusion or for RFtDD. I think the remove from play condition during the End Phase really turns a lot of people off.

I agree with Kingpinopie, an absolute 5/5 in a Gren Maju De Eiza Deck. I used it freqently with a Dark Magician of Chaos to keep reusing cards like Pot of Greed or DD Designator, before attacking. It wasnt much fun for opponents to see 3 Gren Maju and DMoC staring them down when you have 16-20 cards in your RFP pile.

just keep posting replies, and your rank will rise, eventually, with every 100 posts, BUT DO NOT GO SPAMMING

I am against spamming, the clean up alone with that crap is disGusting all the tin cans lying around. dogs, cats and all sorts of things sniffing around for a piece of the almost meat

your already 40% to a rank upgrade, so keep it up

just had to make sure it didn't sound like I was endorsing spamming, heh

That's why it's a perfect card for use with Fusion Gate. Just re-fuse the monsters after they've swarmed.

thats true, IF you are working with Fusions and Fusion Gate.

My favorite was always to Suicide Giant Germs x3 to summon Dark Necrofear, and then activate a previously set Return from the Different Dimension to get the 3 Giant Germs back and suicide them again for another Dark Necrofear later (assuming I drew the 2nd Necrofear)

This card has insane abilities with XYZ dragon cannon, remove, fuse, summon, remove fuse. Discard like crazy and own their field.
