A nice little trick for a gravekeeper's deck playing Magical Dimension is to play a copy of Dark Magician of Chaos In this way you can special summon DMOC, If Necrovalley is already active on the field then choose to use Magical Dimension's effect to destroy one of your opponent's monsters. If Necrovalley is not active on the field then choose to use DMOC's effect to reclaim a copy of Necrovalley from the Graveyard. Keep in mind that you won't be able to claim both Magical Dimension's effect of destroying an opponent's monster AND DMOC's effect of reclaiming a spell card from the graveyard both.

Another consideration is Magician's Circle in a gravekeeper's deck.

I never thought about dark magican of chaos, that sounds like a good idea.
As for magicans circle I have had bad luck with that card, but I will consider.

i would suggest droppin a spear soldier, and adding a guard. these decks aren't made for power, they are more... sniper-ish... for lack of a better word. huh... never thought about doin that, JD. I'm gettin a DMoC... I might SD him to my GK deck.

might i suggest a little more M/T protection as well? something like magic/trap jammer? I think i see where you're goin with it. you want ta use your opponents monsters to summon chief correct? I can tell you that you will hardly ever see that coward(he always hides at the bottom of my deck...<_< ). you main powerhouses will be assailant and spear soldier.

I ran my gravekeeper deck long ago when there was no ban list, and I used my keepers for power and then I also ran a cannon holder or two for sniping, but mostly power.
I theory is this deck relies heavily apon flip effects so 2 guards is more than enough. 3 spear soliders are my face down cleaners.
As far as taking my opponents monsters to summon chief, if it works that way GREAT!!!, but I mostly run two brain controls, to get my opponents monsters to my side, then I swarm the field and beat the ever living snot out of them.
As far as magic protection, I know I need it, but where to put it?
And in todays format most of the spell trap removal comes from monsters (mobius, breaker)

I dunno, it looks pretty good as is: Breaker, Trunade, MST, Heavy, and 2 Dust Tornado is pretty much sufficient.

here's teh thing, though. GK in general are like i said, a thinking type, not a power type. I see, and like the reasoning behind brain control, but instead of doing that, i'd suggest using vassal, and creature swap.

Yes, gravekeepers are tricky to get to work right, but as far as not being a power deck, I disagree, because how many deck can boost being able to special summon 2000 attackers to the field off of mystic tomato, last will. Also I don't think there is any deck other than warriors that can be as fast as gravekeepers.
As far as using vassal and creature swap, that isn't going to happen.
I have been thinking about removing a brain control and possibly something else so I can squeeze in a cannon holder or two.
Before the ban list I used to run two of them, and it was always nice to attack with 4 or 5 keepers and then launch most of them with cannon holder for the win.

I kinda agree, but you are forgetting something. most of the beat sticks are around 2000 nowadays. like berserk gorilla, and many others. but i'll agree that the vassal/CW thing was just a token effort. Just threw something out there. I've used the cannon holder combo many times to get a win.

you use this deck at tourneys? I would walk in and people would laugh and snicker behind my back, about how sorry a GK deck was... I didn't win any prizes, but i did get alot of respect. I wub GK's....

anyhoo, iono, you might wanna put another terraforming instead of CH. I've had trouble pulling valley during a few duels myself.

I don't want to add another terraforming because that will just lead to dead draws.

The other suggestions I am not sure about, because Magician of faith is the only way to get back a necrovalley.
Giant trunade is a great way to clear the field and not destroy my own necrovalley.
I am going to add a DMOC to the deck, so I am not sure about another GK chief.
Iferno reckless summon, this deck brings monsters to the field very fast already, with tomatoes, last will, spy, and the rite of spirits and GK chief.

The owl of luck is a good card, but if necrovalley isn't on the field the field spell goes to the top of your deck, which will cause you not to draw the card that might have helped you more than a field spell. If necrovalley is on the field it goes to your hand which is good but I would rather have a good monster on the field instead of an owl of luck.
