This is my Sacred Phoenix deck that I've been working on lately. It's just a fun deck, but I may try it at the next tourney to see if it does well there.

Sakuretsu Armor

My side deck is a surprise to anyone.

Anyway, I run D.D. Survivor over most other cards in this deck because of the D.D. monsters. Play Reinforcement to get him out and smack a D.D. Assailant or D.D. Warrior Lady while the Phoenix is on the field. Heck yeah. The Interdimensional Matter Transporter is to save the Phoenix for one turn from being rfg'ed. I also think it's pretty. Oh well, give me some suggestions if you want. Thanks.

Field presence, man, field presence. I can't tell you how many times hiding behind a Spy saved me in a duel.

I just run one because those make horrible top decks. Plus, you can hide behind a 2000 defense Spy for 3, 4 turns normally.

There's no way the Spy is overrated. Spy is a 2000 def. Its a garunteed +1 for anything under 2100 atk. Plus it'll suck up Smashing Grounds. Not to mention that even if you don't have Hand, you can then sack both for the bird. How many decks in the current meta, main deck enough stuff that can break GK Spy. Only hard core aggro decks can usually out attack it (ignoring Cyber Dragon in most decks.) Even when killed by Cyber Dragon it'll replace itself. Apprentice is good, but no where near as good as the Spy.

So why not ANY 2000 defender? Why spy? Because of the flip effect? What hapens if you have both in your hand (or one in hand one on field)? It turns out to be another 2000 defender. And if you get one while the other is in the deck? It could get X-outed.

I say it's overrated because so many other deffenders are looked down upon. Yes, it is a great card, but out of a gravekeeper deck it's just another 2000 defender with a minor plus (that could even be a set back). But hear you me, some day Wall of Illusion and Mystical Elf will shine again! So there! :p

What is the problem with Gravekeeper's Spy? What is the biggest downside with them? The only thing that I can think of is if it gets Noblemaned. Big deal. I just lose the other one and can still win. It just helps. It's for FIELD PRESENCE!! Guard doens't give you field presence. Neither does any of the other cards with 2000 or more defense. Why can't anyone understand that? Oh well, I can see where you're coming from, I guess. And I don't like Meta. It isn't all that great in this format.
