Rivalry of Warlords

Anyway, Rivalry can not foresee that you are going to send it to the grave as part of the cost. So it won't allow you to summon a monster that would conflict with it's effect.
If that were true, then why can I Tribute Summon my only monster to bring out a different type monster? If "Rivalry of Warlords" prevents me from even trying to begin a Summon that will end up with a different type of monster than what is currently on the field, then how does this work?

I shouldn't even be able to declare the Tribute Summon unless I'm Tributing for the same type monster.

Ok Understood

Meh ok

Just wish they would have said something like that in the Rule book because I didn't make any since I thought as soon as it was sent to the grave the effect disapearsm, unless told other wise. Guess not.

Thus this means they either need to Retext DNA or Warlords... 0_o

ok if I'm correct now this Forseeing stuff all means that If I have manticore in the graveyard and I have a Beast type monster on the field the turn MAnticore was sent to the grave. and THus I have a FACE-up DNA on the field Changing all the f/u monster on field to insect, I can still offer the monster because I "know it will be beast when it hits the Grave?" 0_o or am I rong and I have no idea what you are all talking about... lol
Manticore of Darkness is a bit of a different situation. Yes it will be Beast when it hit's the Graveyard. But it will ned to be a Beast when you send it. Otherwise, who could you send an Insect Monster when it says send a Beast Monster?

It is only similar in the inent of what your trying to do. In this case are you intending to send a Beast-Ype to the Graveyard? No, you attemoting to send a Insect. So you cannot send it even if it where to chnge when it gets there.

No Manticore requires that you send a Beast monster and while the DNA Surgery is active the monster is not a Beast monster.

The DNA Surgery is active, thus telling Rivalry of Warlords that anything that is summoned will be that type of monster. If you had three active Rivalry of Warlord and one active DNA Surgery on your side of the field and summoned Uria while you had say a Warrior face up on the field and DNA Surgery was designating all monsters were Fish you would be fine to offer the three Rivalry of Warlords for Uria's summon. The game would allow you to offer two of the Rivalry of Warlords and DNA Surgery for Uria's summon but once he arrived on the field the remaining Rivalry of Warlords would immediately destroy Uria. Does that make sense?

Rivalry of Warlords can see that you will only have one monster on the field after the summon and that monster will fulfill the requirement of Rivalry of Warlords. It does not understand that it should just stay out of it because it is being tributed itself. :)

-Edit- This is the same reason that you can't tribute summon Jinzo, even though he would immediately negate the Rivalry of Warlords. Rivalry can't comprehend that it will be negated or removed.

LMAO Cards don't have Brain I hope...

Anyways I understand now, thus this mean I can still do this Regardless if I have no monsters on the field. Even with DNA on Field ^_^

Coming back to this, or at least something similar, what about The Last Warrior from Another Planet? He says you can't Summon, and yet you can Tribute him for a Tribute Summon. But if we follow the logic of Uria, Lord of Searing Flames vs. Rivalry of Warlords, don't we see a contradiction here? In one case a card is Tributed to bring out a monster of the wrong Type, which the Tributed card says cannot happen (i.e. its effect doesn't disappear until after the Summon). In the other case The Last Warrior from Another Planet is being Tributed to Tribute Summon another monster, despite clearly stating no Summons allowed (i.e. its effect disappears perhaps even before the Tribute Summon).
