Sacred Crane Deck Idea

As soon as I saw Sacred Crane, I went to my desktop looking for a rough draft of a Sacred Crane/Marauding abuse deck I had made. But it's not there. I've really wanted this kind of deck to get out there, I think it'll work very nicely, but it seems deck-outishly dangerous, if you're RFTDD all the time with Sacred Cranes removed. You'll draw more than a Dekoichi on crack called Tsukuyomi.

If only Molten Zombie was dark...

Yes i would prob would have deck out problems....
But i would also have major control with hand adv. :)
Perhaps i could utilize Blasting the Ruins in this deck...

how could you have problems w/ decking out....people run 2 merchant 3 dekoichi, i dont here that "problem"

Well mr chawla... i could have problems decking out because i would prob have run through half my deck by the time i got 2-3 cranes removed... and then if i RftDD... i would draw more cards..... which COULD cuz me to deck out... :)

But yeah... i dont think ill have problems ;)
 
okay lets say you wish to build this deck.. First thing is first you want Sacred Crane to be in your opening hand. Really there is no reason for it to stay inside the deck.

so we need to search for cards that can search out any card or give us the ability to 90% have it in our hand.

then you must muster up a way to be able to keep Special Summoning it.

I really dont see why you would want to use it but if its something you really want. Why not :D
 
Ok, Im not trying to force you away from the rfp concept, but if you were to follow the line of thought with Creator+Sacred Crane, then Outstanding Dog Marron is a wicked fun card to deck. This was something I have done and was moderately successful at pulling off. this coupled with Maurauding Captains, Exiled Force, and Creator Incarnates means a lot of synergy with the Warrior angle.

If you use RftDD, I've found that its not always a good thing to have the monsters keep going back and forth to the out of play area. Perhaps if you were to summon them, then use the effect of something like After the Struggle or Begone, Knave!, then you could set yourself up to abuse the effect of Light of Judgment or Beckoning Light (depending on which way you want to swing the hammer).

In either case, simple effects like Solar Ray, could be very effective.
 
AHHH a Sacred Crane deck.... wonderful... I actually ran a deck with Sacred Crane, Marauding Captain, and Return from the Different Dimension as the cornerstones... was pretty fun actually.....

Try this on for size...

Sacred Cranes
Marauding Captains
Return from the Different Dimension
Soul Release
Chaos Sorcerer

Then Toss in a bit of burn / lockdown
Nightmare Stealcage
Gravity Bind
Swords of Revealing Light
Messenger of Peace
(just alternatives to lock down the field)
Stealth Bird
Lava Golem

And just to make sure you get the Punishing Attacks you need to finish them off with an Aggro / Burn Style deck with a great draw engine

Giant Trunade
Brain Control
and maybe even Soul Exchange, Creature Swap and some some good searchers

Just to finish it off and get you some darks in the grave:
Kuribohs for protection
Strike Ninja for abuse and removal

Just good tech .... not sure what , but some good things like Cyber Jar, Reflect Bounder, Mobius the Frost Monarch, and Cyber Dragon ?

Hope these are good ideas for you to think on.... laterz

(I like the aggro style no matter how i work it in by the way... even my burn/ lockdown decks are aggro to a point..... lol)

Thanks for all the information everyone.
I will be working on my completed version of the deck very soon and i will post it within the week.
Any more suggestions?., I would greatly appreciate it.
