Sakurestu Armor - targeting?

In the card registry is states that Sakuretsu Armor Targets 1 monster. How does Sakuretsu target when the person does not have to anounce a target upon activation?

Sakaretsu Armors' Text:

You can only activate this card when your opponent declares an attack.
Destroy the attacking monster.

It's target is always the attacking monster, you don't get to select
a monster to destroy, just the one that is attacking, it is an automatic
targeting effect.

yes, but I was under the impression that in order for a card to target it required someone to ANOUNCE what card(s) sed card is affecting. EX:fissure/smashing ground does not require the person activating it to ANOUNCE what monster fissure/smashing ground is affecting (unless the att/def (depending on which card your using) is the same (which still confuses me)) and therefore does not target.

Think the general rule of thumb is that if it choses what cards it'll affect at activation then it's targeting, if it choses at resolution it's not. Not all cards adhere to this though but in general it is the case.

I guess you target by activating the card when the monster that <you want> to destroy attacks. You are, somehow, selecting a monster among others.
I'm actually not sure if "Widespread Ruin" targets the monster it destroys, but targets the monster that attacks :D

Being given that Sakuretsu Armor is an effect which targets, what does it occur when Great Dezard or Fushioh Richie attacks and
that the adversary activates Sakuretsu Armor?

OK,
Thus since the effect Great Dezard or Fushioh Richie is activated at
the time of the activation of Sakuretsu Armor, the opponent can activate Divine Wrath, but as Divine Wrath is an effect which targets to him also Divine Wrath is negated and destroyed by the effect Great Dezard or Fushioh Richie. It is well that?

Once active, the target negation effects of Great Dezard and Fushioh Richie are continuous and you cannot chain Divine Wrath to them. Much like Chaos Command Magician.

However, if you could chain Divine Wrath to it, my "guess" is the Divine Wrath be negated by either negation effect.
