Sakuretsu Armor and A Hero Emerges: Chain to Each Other?

The question is basically in the topic.

My opponent attacks. Can I chain both A Hero Emerges AND Sakuretsu Armor to the same attack? Or would I only be able to activate one or the other?

I'd say only one could since they both can only be activated when the opponent declares an attack.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, this similar issue was addressed in a Magic Cylinder / Mirror Force issue. Since you are still on the chain, reacting to the declaration of an attack, you can chain these two cards together..

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. I always get confused between this and the starting a second chain after declaration of an attack scenarios.

Apologies, I am a bit confused by Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder activating in the same chain. Surely you would have to ask your opponent if he/she wants to activate a card in a response would mean you wouldn't be able to activate Mirror Force in response since it's only activated in response to an attack, same for Magic Cylinder. Also I would have thought that a player attacking and the other responding with Magic Cylinder negates the attack of the monster meaning there would be no condition to bring up Mirror Force unless another monster attacks again? I was trying to find out about this because I remember an article somewhere on here about it, but couldn't find it.

All right, here I go. Mazera, I'll try to help ya out man. Alright, the main reason that Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder can both be activated in the same chain in response to an attack is that they are both responding to the last successful event to occur, the declaration of the attack. As such, both cards have correct activation timing. Also, Magic Cylinder may negate the attack, but Mirror Force will also still destroy all of their attack position monsters.

That help at all?

Appreciate the help, didn't think it was possible to activate 2 cards at the same time. Does make you wonder how the chain would be able to handle that, could you activate 2 7 tools to negate them both at the same time to?

This is similar to the whole "responding to a summon" issue we have going in another thread.

Its all about responce chains. When a player activates a card in responce to an attack this creates a responce chain. Everything placed in that chain is in responce to that same attack.

Similar with summoning, when a monster is summoned and a card is activated in responce to the summon a responce chain is created. And everything added to that chain is in responce to that summon.

Even if the chained card has no bearing on the summon or the attack.
