A good way of Trade In use just like D Draw IMO.

#1: DMoC : Obvious choice. The most used LV8 monster right now

#2: Mystic Beast King - Barbaros (OCG card): This one I would run 3x in a deck that wants to abuse 3x Trade In. It's a LV8 monster that you cano normal summon without any tribute. It's a safe 1900ATK beatstick if you don't have Trade In.

#3: Ritual monsters: The main thing is, these monsters can be SEARCHED, unlike other LV8 monsters. This is big. I mean, the thing that D Draw is broken is that D-Heros can be searched by Stratos, and thus the dreaded +2 combo of Stratos + Malicious + D Draw. So in this case, use Manju/Senju to search a LV8 Ritual Monster, and then use Trade In to discard it to draw 2 cards. That's a +1 since that Ritual monster was searched out by a monster that's already on field. Probably something like a Demise deck or some other random Ritual LV8 monster can be abused with this.

#4: Special summonable LV8 monster: The example I can think of is Doom Dozer, and the 2 Sky Scourage monsters. If you don't have enough monsters in grave to RFP to special summon them, then just use Trade In to draw 2 cards and fuel your graveyard.

#5: The Creator/SPoN: These guys, got support of being special summoned while they are LV8. SPoN got way better support, since it can be special summoned from deck, and the support monster can be searched with Apprentice Engine. But still, with Trade In, you don't have to worry about 3x SPoN dead cards in hand. Also, with The Creator, you can use it's effect to special summon those LV8 monsters you discarded with Trade In, and ALOT of them are good when special summoned and alot better then tribute summoning. (e.g. DMoC)

And also, in a deck that runs a load of LV8 monster, I would also recommend 2x Metamorphosis since it can be abused to get Cyber Twin/Gatling/Jumbo Drill.

I have to disagree with most of those choices.

With Trade In, you are discarding the L8 monster from your hand. You would not want to discard a Ritual Monster or Doom Dozer since then you have to find a way to get them back to your hand. The same holds true with The Creator (since he can't be reborn from the Graveyard).

However, you could just use Summoner's Art (TAEV) to get:

Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Cosmo Queen
Gogiga Gagagigo
Metal Armored Bug
Sengenjin
Spiral Serpant
Tri-Horned Dragon

(Ok, realistically Blue-Eyes White Dragon)

and then discard those to draw 2 more cards. Real simple. It's a free searcher and far more like Destiny Draw.
 
For Doom Dozer and Sky Scorage, yes, they cannot be special summoned from the graveyard, but they will be food for your next Doom Dozer and Sky Scourage you draw into in the future. That's what I meant.

The Ritual Monster, you'll just be tossing it in for more draws. It isn't really meant for Demise OTK decks for Trade In IMO. Just for card advantage. And all those Ritual Monster in grave can be food for Pot of Avarice or something.

And yeah, Summoner's Art will combo greatly with Trade In. It'll be like ROTA + D Draw combo.
 
I see what the point is for Trade In. There are times when your LV8's are useless. I for one, run a ritual deck with Zorc, Demise, and Blue-Eyes. There are times when I have the field under control, or when they in hand don't do me any good. Trading them out for two more useful cards are excellent. I will definitely use that card for said purpose.
 
they are not going to ban heavy storm or mst there is no reason to ban it ever if they do the only decks will be burn decks they may have not put it in the deck because it's in all the others it you think about it how many people don't have mst or heavy storm it's really common and easy to get, people will give them away!
 
Good point, Oceanus. Even if they do ban MST and Heavy Storm (for 6 months, of course. There's no way they would keep them banned for very long), It would give us a new perspective on destroying S/T. That's what Tornado and Twister would be for, but what about massive S/T destruction? What will we rely on then? Gigantes? Greenkappa? XDD

Yes, Trade In looks cool.

yh to help with burn deck
twister- it only help with face up cards i.e. gravity bind lv limit ect. stall cards it can also help burn deck because they can use it to get rid of royal decree
tornado- who puts 3 or more cards in there spell and trap apart from burn deck
 
I'm still hoping sometime this next year they might actually go back and release SDs 11 and 12. If they keep this one named SD 13, I think there's still hope of that. I still personally think one of the bigger reasons UDE didn't release them was they wanted to both try out their new Secret Rare ideas to go with their new sneak preview cards, and they didn't want a common Crush Card around while it was still their precious Shonen Jump Prize Card.

I just hope the next SJ Prize card isn't another restricted card. Prize cards can be cool, for sure, but when they give a minority unfair advantages over the majority, it's bad business.
