Spikes & Baron Duel Monster Comet Headlines #66

Structure Deck - Conqueror of Gale - (SD8)
Total 40 cards, 3 new cards, include Rulebook, Field, and Play Guide- Wind Main-type deck centered around [Harpy] series
- Composed of monsters that strengthen each other, and maintain the "battlefront"

I kind of hope this is true. Provided of course we get a few WIND-related cards that aren't specifically "Harpy". Could be nice.

I was almost certain the next structure deck after the Earth deck would be wind. It follows the current pattern.
Zombie Madness & Dragon's Roar = monster type
Blaze of Destruction & Fury from the Deep = Attribute
Warrior's Triumph & Judgement of Spellcasters = monster type
I don't think I need to continue.

No... Continue, I think you are on to something... lol

Maybe they will definitely put in some Lady Ninja Yae cards!!

if its a harpy deck, why would it include Spear Dragon?

and since when is 4-star lady bug of doom horrible? alot of people run 4 star's how would it be horrible?
I didnt realize that all Wind Monsters had to be Harpy's....

Learn something new everyday...

Out of my 3 years of Judging in 2 different States and several Cities, I cant say that I have ever seen on anyones decklist a 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom.

I tell ya, I gotta get out of my small pond.

Well, if the deck is centered around Harpys, I on the other hand wouldn't mind seeing a new or two Harpy-based cards. (shout me but I am a sucker for any girl-cards ^_^;;; )

EDIT: By the way, while we're talking about the SD8, what the SD7 will be centered about? Don't know if it's allready been discaused... haven't seen it anywere here.

SD7 is supposed to be and EARTH-based deck that uses Rock-types and Sphinxs (Not Andro or Teleia thank God :bouncy_je ).

yea but it does use alot of mediocre cards.

If the wind deck is based around a Harpy theme wouldnt Cyber shield finally see release?

Just food for thought guys. I mean think about it, they are stating Harpy so im asuming, that is what will be in it. Why would i asume Slate or Spear Dragon, yes their wind they are good decent cards but the point that KOnami is making is that they want to release a Harpy deck.

you will see the sisters, you will see the 1's the 2's and the 3's and possibly even a cyber harpy.. the point they are making is that.

and btw, You dont see a 4-starred lady bug of doom becuase nobody wants to actually play with it, but search around the ADvance format decks, Ive posted a few decks a while back that used to use that card. Go check out spikes and baronii's MMPA-Insect deck, I belive that had 4-starred lady bug of doom.

the card is good, you just dont see play for it becuase the heads over at Metagame havent hyped it up, but look at your deck lists since you judge all the time, Notice.. ALOT OF 4 STARS.

how would a card that can mass destruct field be bad?

its like saying Dark Hole is bad, becuase people are running less and less monsters.

yep.. horrible card. But not cause people would be running less and less monsters, but because it mass destructs for no cost.

4-Starred Ladybug of Doom is a good effect. But how many cards are you going to get with it? Maybe one or two. You are not going to see many people playing 4 or 5 level 4 monsters to the field unless they swarm them with Cyber Jar. And then, since it is a slow card, that gives your opponent a chance to play his Mystic Swordsman LV2 or Exiled Force, or Nobleman of Crossout.

So, its just as good as your opponent allows it to be, and no better than cards that could take it's place.

wow...

according to that, wouldnt that make Dark Hole as usefull as your opponent makes it?

the destruction is there, but you wont be hitting a billion creatures thats for sure, but youll take out the D.D.'s thats 1. then you can take out the Don's, etc..

I dont need to explain my self why 4-starred lady bug is decent. I already know its usefull ness. Just like how i know how to abuse of Mind Control [so much better than Brain Control too btw.]

I know I'm no moderator, but if you want to start a debate over the usefulness of a card when we have no way knowing if it will be in the Structure Deck, start a new thread, and continue it there. I started the thread so people could discuss SD-8, not about the pros and cons of 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom.

How are we supposed to talk about a "Deck" when we dont even know what cards are in it? Oh yeah... "HARPY"... Let's discuss "HARPY".

Aren't there already a few threads on "HARPY" already?

I was merely trying to say cards that I would and would NOT like to see in a "Wind Based" Deck.

If anything, you're a little premature in wanting to discuss a Structure Deck we have absolutely no information about, other than the annoying introductory advertisement.

Even if you feel that we are off topic, how are we going to NOT be off-topic on any card we talk about under this thread if it doesnt pertain to "HARPY"?

And this statement has me just a tad bit confused....

What did you think was going to happen if we started talking about cards we thought might be in SD8, that aren't "HARPY"?
