So many secret rares in one set? Is this a good idea? Nine of them in ONE set? I don't know about you but I've opened 5 1/2 boxes of the most recent set and haven't pulled even ONE of those secret rares....now, I'm a collector beside being a player but I don't think I have deep enough pockets even being paid quite resonably to be able to keep up with THAT kind of pace and rarity!....What's your opinion? Is this too much too fast?
I gave up a long time ago trying to keep up collecting all the promos, tournament packs, tin feature cards, duelist pack cards, Shonen Jump promos, etc.....I was just hoping to be able to assemble a complete 1st Ed. set of every major release.....looks like that's going to fall by the wayside as well <sigh>
Some of those secret rares are mighty fine and powerful cards. It didn't please me to see the St. Louis SJC dominated by decks that had to fork over some pretty impressive sums of money in order to assemble a deck that featured 3 copies of cards not even released to the general public yet....now we're going to deal with this? It seems to me that good cards are becoming far too expensive again, I thought we'd made progress toward making fine decks affordable with the release of structure decks....this seems a step backward to me.
Voice your opinion here...am I off base?
