ok quick question... can i power up a Mark sentinal II character with a Mark sentinal III, IV characters? because i was dueling against a player and he said that this is a legal move, i told him it cant be cause they are two different characters. Can anyone clear this for me. thanx

Mark II is not the same as Mark III is not the same as Mark IV, etc. To power-up using the game effect requires you to discard a card with the exact same name. You cannot use Rose<>Thorn to power up The Rose, for example.
That said, was the player actually attempting to power-up the Mark II or was he using the effect of Bastion to give the character +1/+1? They are different effects.

he is incorrect then. By his logic, he could discard any character with the word "the" in it to power up any other character wiht the word "the" in the title
