Serial Spell & Counters

If I were to activate "Pot Of Greed", then chain "Serial Spell", do I
add 2 or 3 counters to my face-up Skilled Dark Magician?

Also, could I activate "Fissure", then chain "Serial Spell" even though
there is only one face-up monster on my opponent's side of the field?
[To get the effect of adding more counters]

You get two counters because you played 2 Spell Cards. When "Serial Spell" resolves, it simply replaces its text with "Draw 2 cards".

You can chain "Serial Spell" to "Fissure" because there is still one monster on your opponent's side of the field until one of them resolves. Serial Spell/Fissure will kill that monster and Fissure will fizzle for lack of a "target"  :D
