Shadow Imprisoning Mirror and Light and Darkness Dragon

ive been trying to figure out ways to stop light and darkness dragon but i've been curious...in gladiator's assault, a card known as shadow imprisoning mirror was released. its current rulings are(from upper deck's website) that

When determining if a monster’s effect should be negated by “Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror”, check the monster’s Attribute at the time its effect is resolved.

When a Non-DARK monster’s effect is activated while the monster and “Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror” are both face-up on the field, if you chain “DNA Transplant” and select “DARK”, the monster’s effect will be negated if the monster is still face-up on the field when its effect resolves because it is now a DARK monster.

“Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror” cannot negate the Continuous Effects of DARK monsters.

now i understand jinzo's effect would still work because it has a continous effect..so would the same be true for light and darkness dragon? also if shadow imprisoning mirror didn't negate light and darkness dragon's effects, would light imprisoning mirror work?

Light and Darkness Dragon's Negation effects will not work if Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror is active, because he is Dark Monster while he is on the field, and he 'activates' his negation effect. HOWEVER it will NOT negate his legacy effect (third effect, that destroys all cards on the controllers field and special summons 1 monster), because he is not a DARK monster while in the graveyard

Light-Imprisoning Mirror will work on his second and third effect, because he is a LIGHT monster either way.

yes, well almost.

Neither will stop his first effect, the one that treats itself as Dark while he is on the field, because that is a continuous effect, and continuous effects never 'activate'
