Shallow grave q.

Mexican Diablillo!!
it's been a while since i wrote a question...

1.- i know that for shallow grave to activate, there must be at least 1 monster in each of our graveyards. the question here is that if for some reason,i have a monster in my graveyard, and my oponente has a nomi monster or, if, has all of his/her monsters zones full...can i still activate the shallow grave?

2.- i was looking at the rulinf for TER, when i came to the part of him not beign able to control a face up BLG...but it didn't say anything about a matazza...does TER effect consired not-controlling?...i mean, cant control monsters that cant be controlled?

I am sorry, the answer on both questions is NO. The Shallow Grave requires not only monsters in the Graveyard, but also room on the field. And that is a bit of a problem then...

TER takes control of a monster and turns it into an Equip (Spell) card. Thusfore, the control has been changed, and that prevents Mataza the Zapper from being sucked.

<EDIT:> Skey strikes again *mutter* *grumble*

What bothers me is that there used to be a ruling that clearly showed how The Shallow Grave can work and now it is no longer there. Then on top of that, it has similar text to some other cards that can do something like that, even if your opponent does not have a card to get. Just confusing.

Yeah, a few sneak peeks back I was juding a constructed 4 man and this kid was swearing up and down he could use Shallow Grave when his opponent had no monsters in the graveyard. He says no, he has this friend who has one a bunch of regionals that says you can. The whole "I'm the judge" type thing was lost on him. It was a good thing he actually didn't try to make that move during the constructed, or he wasn't going to be too happy with me 8^D

I know some of the old Netrep files cleared these things up, but never made it over to the UDE FAQ. Anybody know if there was a reason why that migration never took place?

Before, I used to think that because they never migrated over meant they changed the ruling on it and you could do it. However, none of the future video games were able to do this so I assumed it was just something that did not happen. However, it still bothers me to this day that a card like The Shallow Grave cannot activate unless both players can get a monster, but a card that does something similar and needs both players can easily do it with just 1 player getting the effect. So backwards.
