Simple scientist question

Nobody here has ever played a scientist deck, that's why I have this simple question:

If I activate 2 last will before activating cannon soldier effect on itself, Can I special summon 2 monsters from my deck even if only one monster was sent to the graveyard?

Not really.

The odds on drawing at least 1 Cannon Soldier and 2 Last Wills are not that great, not to mention suppose you do draw that... as well as draw the 1 "Magical Scientist". So much for that combo on that turn.

Let's see: 2 last will and a Cannon soldier in my hand in my first turn. Summon cannon soldier and play 2 last will, bring scientist and catapult to the field. Considering the fact that Someone put 3 last will, 3 catapult turtle and 3 cannon soldier, adding 3 reloads, 3 wabokus and 3 thunder o ruler, I think the chances are great. But if you say so, I suposse I have to believe you

out of 5 games i pulled it off 4 times.

a FTk deck doesnt have Traps you have 3 waboku's.

secondly to increase your odds of pulling the combo, using gilasaurus and Mass driver will help you a bit too.

aswell as nuvia the wicked and Serial Spell.

why because if you have 3x serial spell + 3x last will + 3x nuvia +3x cannon + 3xgila + 3x mass driver

etc...

you basically need in the end only 1 scientist and possibly if anything 3x turtles. BUT not always!

i run 1 of each and like i said out of 5 games i pulled it 4 times back to back, same combinations. sometimes with serial spell sometimes i just got lucky and got 2 last wills.

you have to think alot when it comes to the ftk, cause sometimes a simple card destruction or confiscation can kill it for you.

I know its happend to me. (letting my opponent go first everygame to see how many times id pull it off)

Same thing as Cannon Soldier really (the fact that Cannon Soldier is inflicting damage to the opponent is not that important in this combo. Neither is the damage from Mass Driver. The goal is to get the effect of 2 Last Wills so you can special summon Scientist and Turtle. Last Will needs a monster on your side of the field to go to the graveyard. Cannon Soldier tributes himself, Mass Driver tributes whatever monster you have on the field, Nuvia destroys itself if normal summoned. Regardless of what way you get the monster off the field and into the graveyard you just have to get that to happen so the 2 Last Wills (or Last Will and Serial Spell) kick in to bring out the dispicable duo. Add Thunder Nyan Nyan to the list, she'll kill herself when you special summon that Gilasaurus.

Yeah, Scientist FTK requires more skill than people think because one mess up and turn you off.

After "Dark Magician of Chaos" got restricted, I put my FTK deck back in my binder, but now I'm experimenting with "Serial Spell" and it is working alright, but I'm only going to use the deck for casual play.

I agree you are usually betting the farm to get your combo off. If you get tripped up it is usually game over. But that is pretty much the chance you take to be able to end the game before your opponent can draw a card.

yep yep, hence why i had a scientist hybrid for a little while, cause if i knew the turtle stuff wasnt gonna happen, then it was time to mass flood the field with cliff and spirit reapers aswell as using dark ruler ha des for some monster effect negation.
