six samurai

my opponent activates return of the six samurai and selects irou. I chain to return with enemy controler and tribute one of my monsters to take control of her yaichi. the field now looks like this: she's got a irou that will be destroyed at the end of the turn and I've got her yaichi that will return to her control at the end of the turn. Now my question: what happens first in "the end of the turn". Does control of yaichi switch back first or does irou get destroyed first? It matters because if yaichi switches back before irou dies than my opponent can decide to use the samurai's substituting effect so that not irou but yaichi dies.

The issue comes down to who will be 'forced' to resolve their effect first during the End Phase. You both control an effect that needs to resolve, but you both can choose when to resolve it (to a point). It goes like this....(in a nutshell)

P1 can either choose to resolve the effect of "Return of the Six Samurai" or pass to P2. If they resolve, then "Irou" dies.
If they pass, then P2 can either choose to resolve the effect of "Enemy Controller" or pass back to P1. If they resolve, then "Yaichi" returns to P1s field and P1 can then choose to resolve the effect of "Return of the Six Samurai".
If P2 passes back w/o resolving "Emeny Controller's" effect, then P1 MUST resolve the effect of their "Return of the Six Samurai". This is not optional at this point. "Irou" dies.
P2 can now choose to resolve the effect of "Enemy Controller".

It's a fun game....isn't it...lol.

I noticed I didn't specify who was turn player and who was not. In your explanation P1= turn player? And is that the reason that she had to choose first whether to resolve her effect?

That's right. Effects controlled by the turn play go first for resolving. As skey said, the turn player can pass on it, but then the opponent can force the turn player into resolving that effect first.
