Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower + Patrician of Darkness

If I have a Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower on the field and a patrician of darkness also on the field and my opponent declares an attack can I redirect the attack to Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower?

No. Patrician of Darkness must choose a LEGAL target for attack.

Patrician of Darkness is a continuous effect. You don't redirect the attack. Your opponent chooses a monster to attack with and you choose which monster he or she attacks.

Just to add to the thread ...
I have a zombie on the field in face up attack position, and a face down soul-absorbing bone tower.
My opponent attacks the face down card, it is flipped.

What would happen? Would the attack carry on through, or would a replay be caused?
