Why does the MK Spidey have loyalty?

I haven't kept up with the Spider-Man comics recently, but why would any version of Spidey ever have loyalty?

In this case, it is because of the game mechanic so as not to have Spider-Man show up in random decks. His effect is incredibly strong, so the Loyalty is there just to make sure that if you want to play him, you actually work for it.

Yes as far as mechanics go he would be killer strong without it.

Atleast Battering Ram forces a KO which is a high cost.

But ya know Spider man sticks(pun intended) around.

because imagin spidey out of a theme.

every time its your attack all your opponents characters will be exhausted.

if you stall like that for 3 turns. you can easeally, get apocalypse and onslought on the field and show full control.

spidey deserves to stick with marvel knights and have loyalty.

a better thing to look at other than spidey is Doop : ultimate weapon.

8 drop
loyalty
concealed
invulnerability
Flight
25/1

2 turns of getting hit with doop direclty wins you the game. and if it didnt have loyalty, you could easily pop this in any deck and have a really strong 8 drop that can attack directly considering the opponent doesnt have hidden characters of course.

Doop can't attack directly unless all of the opponent's visible characters are stunned. The presence of hidden characters is irrelevant.

okay so how does it work?

hidden characters can attack visible?

either way with restrictions on it not being able to attack directly its still preaty heavy.

Hidden Character can attack Visible Characters.

Visible characters however cannot attack Hidden Characters (Unless a card effect allows them to).

Hidden Characters have the same rules as any other character where as it can't attack directly unless the opponent controls no or all stunned visible characters (or unless a card effect changes otherwise).
