I have a question...

How this cards works?

Spirit Barrier
"As long as a monster(s) remain(s) on your side of the field, battle damage to the controller
             of this card becomes 0."

It's like a waboku when I have monster on my side? Is that true?

Please answer..

spirit barrier work even when your only monster is destroyed as a result of a batlle

because

damage is calculated in damage step 3

and the monster destroyed in batlle is send to grave in damage step 6; so he will be in the field even being destroyed until the damage calculations is over

this chart may help you

thanks netreps group for this not me :p

Battle Step)
1. The Target Monster is Attacked:
The attacking player selects one of their own monsters for the attack and designates the opponent's monster as a target. Both players can play Quick-Play Spell or Trap Cards.

(Damage Step)
2. Determine Attack Results:

If the target monster is in face-up Attack Position, compare the ATK points of both monsters. If the target monster is in face-down Defense Position, the card is flipped face-up. Compare the attacking monster's ATK points with the target monster's DEF points. Quick-Play Spell or Trap Cards that modify the ATK and/or DEF of a monster may be played here.

3. Calculate Damage:
Calculate and apply damage from the battle. IN THIS POINT, A MONSTER IS CONSIDERED DESTROYED

4. Apply the Effects of Effect Monsters:
If the target monster has a Flip Effect, it is applied here. Review the instructions on the flipped card and apply it. Do not apply effects to monsters that are already destroyed. If there are monsters with effects other than Flip Effects, these should be applied here as well.

5. Send to the Graveyard:
Monsters destroyed in battle are sent to the Graveyard now. If a monster has an effect stating "When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard..." the effect is applied during this step.

6. Determine Whether to Attack again
if other monsters can attack, choose to return to the Battle Step or proceed to the End Step.

So, flip effect is activated after the monster is destroyed. Hence, the reason, Brain Jacker's flip effect cannot be used. Unlike Cyber Jar, its effect lingers when it goes to grave.

Me again

If I have a La Jinn and a Spirit Barrier on my side and my opponent attacks with Dark magician:

a) My monster is destroyed?

b) My monster still alive?

Thanks...

Spirit Barrier only affects Battle Damage to controller, not cards.  Your monster would be destroyed, and if it was in attack position, you would be unaffected by/from overflow.

Wobaku prevents all damage to monsters and to your lp. Making Yugioh seem a little more like magic in the fact that once a monster is attacked it takes damage bringing it down either to 0 or it lives and the same to the attacking monster, but they both then instantly goe back up to there attack. Seems hard to understand unless you know how to play magic but that's kinda how Wobaku works in the fact that your opponent attacks your monster (both monsters have 1800 attack points) you activate wobaku your monster takes no damage then your monster still inflicts it's 1800 to your opponents monster killing it. Sorry if this makes no sence to some people, but it's the best way i've come to understand it that ow wobaku can be used as a Offensive card as well as a Defensive card as many people now use it. I would love to see people op't to ram two 1900's together only to activate wobaku seeing your opponents monster fall to yours. Sorry if you guys think this is rambling :(.

You're confusing Battle Damage to you, the controller, versus Battle Damage to your monster.  Your monster takes any appropriate damage from Battle.  If its enough to destroy it, then depending on the position, defense or attack, if there was any overflow damage, then you would not be affected since the CONTROLLER, not the monster, takes 0 damage from an attack.

combine it with astral barrier and you have a continous waboku.

combine that with spell canceller, you have a field lock.

Opponent can only attack you directly for 0 damage.

and the opponent cant use spell cards. LMAO!
