ss#4 & n s grand mole

this has probably been answered - but ...
i attack a face up def pos sasuke samurai #4 with my neospacian grand mole...
since both effects activate before flipping face up, i assumed they were segoc...and resolved ss#4 first( flipped a coin and missed) then mole's effect (returned both to owners hand)...was that correct??

They activate in completely different times:

If this card attacks or is attacked by an opponent's monster, you can return both monsters to their owners' hands at the start of the Damage Step (without damage calculation).

If this card battles a monster, toss a coin and call heads or tails before damage calculation. If you call it right, destroy the opponent's monster with this effect.


Both monsters would return to the hand if Moles controller chooses to.

I don't know...

* You activate the effect of "Sasuke Samurai #4" at the beginning of the Damage Step, before the monster is flipped face-up. A monster destroyed by the effect of "Sasuke Samurai #4" is not destroyed as a result of battle. There is no damage calculation. It is not flipped face-up. Any Flip Effects it has are not activated.

It looks like it's at the same time; they're just written differently.

Does anyone have a link to the Damage Step chart?
