Complaining is perfectly legal.
Whining is perfectly legal.
Shortening the time allowed for a duel... would be up to the tournament host I would guess, if it's not UDE related, otherwise a match is set at 40 minutes by UDE standards. At least I think it's UDE standards, that's the time limit that's been on all matches at tournaments I've been to.

Stall decks are perfectly legal.
Not playing a cookie cutter like everyone else is extremely legal.
Well, I think I've got my message across. :)

Nobody likes Stall Decks (unless you are the one using it). Most people aren't prepared to go against a complete Stall Deck, especially if it is using cards like WMC.

I personally enjoy a good Stall/Burn Deck and have made several that can last generally the whole 40 minutes.

Looking back over my post, remind me to wake up completely first before I respond, I wasn't directing that at you, just to your other players where you play. I just neglected to actually mention that.
Sorry if I sounded harsh, I wasn't meaning to, I'm just one of those people that can't stand to see /everyone/ playing nearly the exact same deck. Maybe my standards are a bit high, I like to win as much as everyone else, but I believe more in originality than just winning. I'm sure there's probably some others out there like me. :)

you have my vote right here......i was the only one playing zombies way before the zombies SD was released, and i did my sharing of wins. now that zombies r destined to be the next cookie deck, i need to upgrade my deck. (beasts, anyone?)

Stall decks are quite nice! I like them because it's a real challenge to beat them! However I've only seen once or twice a stall deck winning a tournament...

Beast are going to PWN a lot! With the March of Animals (is that correct?) and Scapegoats, running a Berserk Gorilla is devastating! Not to mention that United We Stand is going to be unbanned...
Sacred Phoenix is also a card you want to have side-by-side with an Enraged Battle-Ox! Manticore of Darkness is never left behind...:D

I /still/ can't believe they didn't restrict Scapegoats, especially allowing United We Stand to come back, and then adding all these Beast specific cards as well? It'll be nice to see Beasts get some nice play, I just hope they don't become the next "Chaos" and soon that's all you see.

I can just see it now, a beast swarm deck that actually runs Big Koala or Des Kangaroo and a Polymerization or 2, with maybe a couple of Earth-Hexes thrown in. Can anyone say bow to the Master of Oz?

I am /so/ making a casual "Down Under" deck one of these days, with all the Koalas and Kangaroos in the game now. All we need now are some bloody Crocs and Dingos. Croikey!!

By starting out playing stall decks. I found out alot of there weekness. I have learned how to turn a stall deck against the person playing a stall deck.

At this one Tournament I played in, one particular Duelist built a rather sweet Stall using some Spring of Rebirth and a few other cards to return cards to hand, like Wall of Illusions, Nightmare Penguin, etc.

I saw him get up to 35,000 easily on life points.

I built a Direct Attack Deck using Raging Flame Sprites, Servant of Catabolism, Jowls, and OWNED him!!!

Thats one of the drawbacks to Stall. Hard to defend if they are using Level 3 and below monsters that can attack directly.

Now that Mirror Force is coming back to Advanced, that should balance things out a bit.

He needed to have main decked or side decked an important card to counter direct attacks like that, Wall of Revealing Light. Pay 1000 LP and watch them groan. It even stops the annoying Sasuke Samurai and Mystic Swordsman LV2 until they use something to nuke it.

There are truly a lot of holes in traditional stall deck builds. The best deck I run right now is indeed stall. I think I've weeded out most of its weeknesses, though. With the predominet focus being on the protection ofmy spell/trap zone and spell//trap thats mostly destruction and protection and then the primary kill shot being Wave-Motion Cannon.
