starting chains vs damage step

greetings all :)

here my question:
am i able to start more than only 1 chain in the damage step?

for example, i attack with an machine type monster. no response from my opponent. than in the damage step i activate my limiter removal, and my opponent chains with magic jammer, negating the limiter.

i know, i cant chain with an second limiter, because of spell speed, but can i simply create a new chain? i let the first resolve completely, and than, still in the damage step, i activate my second limiter removal. or is the damage step forced to go to the end of the damage step?

Hope you understand what i mean :D

On chaining Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder together:

Both have the same activation requirement, and since the declaration of attack happened, both are legal to activate and chain in either order (1- Mirror Force 2- Magic Cylinder OR 1 Magic Cylinder 2- Mirror Force)

But please note that resolving the chain will be different depending on the order. If you activate Magic Cylinder first (making it chain link 1) and then Mirror Force (chain link 2) the resolution would be as:

Link 2- Mirror Force
Negates attack and destroys all opponent's face-up attack pos. monsters

Link 1- Magic Cylinder
Effect is lost because target monster is no longer on the field.

So always remember to activate Mirror Force FIRST so that Magic Cylinder will do it's job before Mirror Force nukes the opposition.

Remember though, "Mirror Force" has been errata-ed.  It no longer negates the attack.  It only destroys monsters.

Woah, I JUST realized that. For those who don't know, here is the updated text:

Mirror Force
Normal Trap
You can only activate this card when your opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all Attack Position monsters on your opponent's side of the field.
