Stealth Bird Vs. Ring of Destruction

Stealth Bird is face up on the TURN players side of the field.

The turn player activates Stealth Birds effect and flips it face down during main phase 1.

The opponent then chains to this effect with Ring of Destruction.

Now what is the outcome? Does ring hit stealth bird for 700 to each player or does ring misfire because its target is face down?

If i'm not mistaken the turn player has priority to use effects in the proper phases? But I am unsure so any feedback on this is very welcome.

Player A activates Stealth Bird's effect
Player B activates Ring of Destruction
Player A does not respond
Player B does not respond

Resolution
Ring of Destruction destroys Stealth Bird and inflicts damage to both players

Stealth Bird no longer has a valid targer and does not resolve

Yes, but in that scenerio then Exiled Force would be hit by Ring instead of being blown up. But instead at resolution Exiled Force is no longer on the field and the same could be said for stealth bird because at resolution stealth bird is face down.

Does anyone else agree or disagree?

I'd also like to point out that stealth bird is flipping itself FACE DOWN when ring is chained.

Exiled isn't on the field because it is a "cost" to activate the effect. So you send Exiled to the grave when you activate the effect Ring couldn't be chained unless there were another face up monster to target.

Ring of Destruction resolves before Stealth Bird flips itself face down. Simple as that.

Now lets look at Exiled Force:

Player A Summons Exiled Force
Player A uses priority to activate Exiled Forces effect, Exiled Force Tributes itself and Targets Face-Up Berserk Gorrila.
Player B Activates Ring of Destruction. Must choose target now: Exiled force has already been tributed so Ring of Destruction must target a Remaining monster, e.g Berserk Gorrilla.

Resolution:

Ring of Destruction Destroys Berserk Gorilla, does 2000 damage to both players.

Exiled forces target--Berserk Gorilla-- is no longer on the field; it cannot resolve properly.

this is correct.

remember that Stealth Bird as 2 effects though.

1 being when its flipped up it deals 1000lp damage to the opponent

and the other

2 Being it able to put it self face down.

Your opponent only has priority over 1 effect.

He flip summons it, You chain with ring, You lose 1700lp and your opponent loses 700lp

Your opponent cannot say ill use priority to make it go face down, because the Chain is

effect1 of stealth bird>RIng of destruction.

the resolution has to happen in order for them to use the second effect.

now if its second effect Vs. ring of destruction then im having doubts, but what it looks to me is that Stealth bird isnt face down yet, so ring would blow it up.

if though, the opponent is chaining BOok of moon to ROD then yes Stealth Bird would have been face down before destroyed.

I hopw this is how it works, im currently seeing it as this, but it maybe true that Stealth Bird might be already face down.

but since it isnt a cost then probabilities are that ROD will destroy Stealth Bird.

Since Stealth Birds effect is only Spell Speed 1 for flipping him face-down, then if your opponent would chain to that effect, Stealth Bird could not resolve HIS effect until Ring of Destruction completely resolved and we all know what happens when Ring of Destruction Resolves on a face-up Monster Card....
