You can't use Instant Fusion on Cyber End, etc. cause the monster have to be level 5 or lower. The only real target of Instant Fusion was TER... but that got banned for a good reason because of this.
Anyway, about D.D. Crow again, does it "negate" the discard effect when chains to the discard?
Like say I have Don Zaloog and do LP damage, then I discard my foe's Goldd, can I chain to that with discarding D.D. Crow, and negate the EFFECT of destroying two cards on my field? (I'm pretty sure it'll negate the special summon since it'll be removed from play before it comes back) Or how about similarity of hitting Goldd with my Drop Off.
Similar thing with discarding Night Assailant, can I negate the effect of my foe getting a flip monster?
Or what about Pot of Avarice, Magician of Faith. They activate Pot and select 5 monsters, before my foe shuffle them back to the deck, I remove from play 1 of the selected monsters with D.D. Crow. That SHOULD negate the whole Pot right? (Assuming the PoA vs Disappear ruling) Or Magician of Faith, they select a spell card in their graveyard, immediately I chain D.D. Crow discard to remove from play that spell card, MoF effect dies without doing anything, right?
Man, I can think of all KINDS of stuff and hopefully, it all works.
And yeah, Ancient Rule can totally replace Kaibaman or Red-Eyes B. Chick. I mean, with those two cards, you have to at least SUMMON that monster itself to tribute it off for the special summon, but with Ancient Rule, you can immediately special summon BEWD, and then normal summon/set another monster. Eek. (One thing that'll make Kaibaman better then Ancient Rule is that it's a monster, and thus searchable by Sangan, Last Will, etc.)
