Going by the current text of Sandmoth (SOI/SD7 spoiler from DM Comet), it is pretty good with Torrential/Dark Hole. With any other monster, the most opportune timing would be a 2 for 2 (Dark Hole/Torrential Tribute + monster vs their 2 monsters), but with Sandmoth, it is a 2 for 1, and it becomes a 2000atk monster to press the advantage.

Not exactly.
Tribe-Infected Virus is found in SD4, and now it is BANNED.
(I know it is not in OCG, but at least you can't go and just buy a SD4 and go like "it's tournament legal" in TCG anymore)

And well I expect Pot of Greed to be banned in OCG
since it didn't show up in any of the SDs.
