Swords of Concealing Light

When you activate this card, change all monsters on your opponent's side of the field to face-down Defense Position. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, monsters on your opponent's side of the field cannot change their Battle Positions. Destroy this card during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation.

i haddent seen this card on the boards yet, so i thought i would post it.

I have alrdy put one in my deck. and i find it to be a huge game "reverser" now people look at it and say they would prefer the original swords, well SORL and SOCL, are both extreamly powerful,

SORL-Exposes your opponits monster and prevents your opponit from attacking.

SOCL-Flips all your opponits monsters face down, which would cribble effects, (jinzo and others like him) setting the field for Nobelmans and Mystic swordsmen. and keep the monsters they have down, down for 2 turns, and the fact it is unlimited, is just sick,

(oh and its a goat killer!!!)

anyway post your oppinions.

As Swords of Revealing Light is to anti-beatdown, Swords of Concealing Light is to anti-stall/burn.

You put the "as in the wrong place and added in an unessisary comma; it should read like so:

Swords of Revealing Light is to anti-beatdown as Swords of Concealing Light is to anti-stall/burn.

Also everyone... Unlike Swords of Revealing Light which is SENT after its three turns Swords of Concealing Light is DESTROYED after it's two turns... CAN ANYONE SAY Magic Reflector?!!! Couple Magic Reflector with a Swords of Concealing Light to make it stay on the field with Lava Golems... special summoned on your opponent's side of the field in defense position :D  :D then again... if you don't wanna go to that much trouble and Magic Reflectors aren't already in your deck you can always use gravity axe

No. By extrapolating this ruling:

"¢ If "Swords of Revealing Light" has a counter on it, it is still destroyed at the end of the opponent's third turn after it was activated.

The same would be true for "Swords of Concealing Light". "Magic Reflector" cannot prevent a card from destroying itself by its own effect or game mechanic.

After 3 turns the condition that allows Swords of Revealing Light to remain on the field Dis-appears. And so Swords fo Revealing light is destroyed by game mechanic.

Swords of Concealing Light is a continuous spell card, and by default remains on the field. And destroys itself by effect. So unless the effect activates repeatedly in the same stand-by phase, Magic Reflector would work.

But SoCL's effect destroys itself in the 2nd standby phase after activation so it really is the same kind of mechanic. Despite being "Continuous", its effect ends at that time. If you want to keep it around, play "Solomon's Lawbook" which will cause you to skip that particular Standby phase. As a result, "Swords of Concealing Light" will stay on the field until it is destroyed by something else.

ya, but unlike Revealing LIght, Concealing is continuous.... so since it actually is not destroyed in that second turn due to Magic Reflector's effect... I should stay right, since it missed its timing to be destroyed... sort of like how Peten the Dark Clown misses his timing to go fetch another if it's "going to the graveyard" is not the last thing to happen......

Ahem, mi mi mi mi. (Clears throat, small sip of water) mi mi mi mi.

TRAMPLE!

Let's not forget that, folks.

ahhh yes.... How about Combining Swords of Concealing with your little buddy Asura Priest equipped with Big Bang Shot.... howz that for trample...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned my FAVORITE use for this card, which is also going to appear in a deck of mine soon.

Acivate Swords of Concealing Light. Opponent puts monsters face down...okay opponint is thinking stall. Activate Last Will. Tribute summon for Mefist the Infernal General....okay opponent is thinking standard beatdown/hand disruption. Use Last Will and bring out Byser Shock. Opponent says "What the heck?! Where did all my cards go?!" You grin and proceed to display them going from their hand to the graveyard.
