We've actually tried that at various times, here. At one point, a day-care center here was running Yu-Gi-Oh stuff, which was mostly just a bunch of young kids trading, we all went to it a couple of times, but it just didn't feel right. The kids liked seeing some of the cool cards, but most all were too young to actually even grasp the real rules, even when trying to teach them a little, but then that even stopped. With my brother being in high school now, as well, for this past year, everyone who used to play lost interest, thinking it was too much of a kid's game, or the usual nonsense like that.
I'd love to even just see half of the hobby league stuff, but I don't even think the Toys 'R' Us around here holds anything Yu-Gi-Oh related anymore, event wise, and even when they did, the promo cards were restricted to those under 18, so I just took my brother to see what they were like, anyway. I'm just glad the game can even thrive elsewhere, as it's a completely dead thing around here apparently. If I had the capital, I'd try to run a game shop of sorts, but it would probably go out of business like all the others have that have been around here. There's barely only one comic book shop staying alive around here, and it's had to move three times in the last 5 years, I think.
