TER vs Fusilier

Some other question (also with TER):

I know that if you tribute a Megarock Dragon with an original atk of 5600 for a Great Maju Garzett, that Great Maju Garzett would be 11.200.

If the same Megarock Dragon is "sucked up" by TER, would it have the same ruling as Fusilier and TER will be 0, or will it just take the 5600 as his attack?

I know that TER erases his effect, but I thought that because it works with Great Maju (normally the tribute of a ? atk/? def monsters for him will cause him to be a 0/0 monster) why wouldn't it work with TER?

When an ATK and/or DEF value of "?" is used as an equip, it is counted as 0 for those purposes.

Great Maju Garzett would have an ATK and DEF of 0 if it was summoned by tributing a Megarock Dragon. It doubles the original attack that was printed. 2 x ? = 0

Same goes if TER sucks up Megarock Dragon.

But I read somewhere that when you tributed Megarock for Great Maju, it uses the original attack that Megarock became, instead of the attack which is stated on the card, can't find where anymore, though :(

The attack on the card is ? for Megarock Dragon. But Megarock Dragon's effect redefines his original ATK so it will always be a # when it's summoned and used as the base if equipped with Megamorph. (Great) Maju Garzett don't have that. They just say the ATK is set to whatever. So if you drop Megamorph on them their ATK becomes 0.

Also remember from the new policy on this there is no more "what's printed on the card" concept for determining the original ATK in regards to cards like Megamorph and related cards. In most cases they will be what is printed, but thanks to cards like Megarock Dragon, Fusilier, Behemoth, etc. it's no longer a guarentee.

I find UDE's comment on "Printed ATK" a bit asinine. We know there is no Game Term called "Printed ATK", we always did. There are a lot of terms that we use for explaining Game Mechaincs that are not official Game Terms. Since Konami hasn't seen fit to give some of these mechanics official terminology, we use whatever templating we can to define them.

Aside from that, "Printed ATK" was a perfectly good way of giving "Original ATK" a clear definition. It looks like a few monsters were arbitrarily chosen to be exceptions to the rule, so they decide that all the logical phrasing we had created to simplify things is now null and avoided.

The Judges List ruling on Fuslier Dragon, The DUal-Mode Beast and Thousand-Eyes Restrict should still be correct. It should be the case for all monsters attached to him and Relinquished using thier effect. A ruling that states that a monster might have a modfied ATK in the Graveyard or wherever else would/should have no bearing on how the card equipped to Relinquished/TER is treated. It is an Equip Spell Card. It retains nothing from it's status as a monster other then its name and, in this case, the ATK and DEF printed on the card. ("?" still equaling 0)
