The Almighty Roar of the Dark Ruler Ha Des

Here's my Fiend Deck I've been running and perfecting for years.

Monsters (2o)
Giant Orc x3
Newdoria x3
Archfiend Soldier x3
Dark Necrofear x2
Slate Warrior x2
Dark Ruler Ha Des
Archfiend of Gilfer
Lava Golem
Sangan
Kuriboh
Dark Jeroid
Goblin Elite Attack Force

Magick Cards (7)
Swords of Revealing Light
Premature Burial
Snatch Steal
Mystical Space Typhoon
Heavy Storm
Dark Hole

Dimension Fusion

Trap Cards (14)
Waboku x3
Deck Devastation Virus
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Skill Drain x3
Ring of Destruction
Torrential Tribute
Call of the Haunted
Michizure
Interdimensional Matter Transporter

It's a bit Trap-heavy, but I beat this guy Nino; who's the second-hand man to Jeff that goes to Time Tunnel Comics and Toys with this deck, so it must be pretty good. Digital Jedi should know who I'm talking about.

I didn't see a Forum where I could welcome myself, so I decided to post my Deck and make my entrance here. I'm Swartzstrom. I go by Swartzstrom, Swartz, Auriadizo, The Original Black storm; many names and alias, but let's get straight to the point. I'm hoping I make many a friend here at City of Gamers Forums, and I hope I become well-recognized here as well.

Regards,

~Swartz

Hmm, looks very different from what I last played against. When did you get a Deck Devastation Virus? What do you want for it? :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I haven't got a chance to bring the new ban list to Time Tunnel. As of October 1 Tribe-Infecting Virus will be banned in advance format. Here's a link to the list posted in General Discusion http://www.cogonline.net/threads.12314 Oh yeah, along with Mirror Force <wince>

Ah, interesting. Let's switch out those two for Michizure and Autonomous Action Unit, then. No biggie. =P

At least now we won't be talking people using the Metagame bull crap.

Yes, and even with the losses that will make your deck that much more competative. But why not add in Giant Trunades?

I'm making a Side Deck right now. Giant Trunade is a definite in it already. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Skye finally beat Jeff in last week's tourney. It was awesome. Skye and I faced each other in the final round.

Wow, this is a fascinating deck indeed. The use of Skill Drain with a "Dark Ruler" themed deck is quite intriguing. I like the aspect of the Newdorias and other graveyard effects that Skill Drain won't be able to touch.

I'm not sure if Lava Golem works in here. I see how you remove two of their monsters, and you have plenty of CED to bounce it with, but I worry that your opponent may get a free 3000 beater out of the mix. What about running a second Dark Ruler to the mix?

A wise fiendish duelist once told me to run as many Interdimensional Matter Transporters as I do Dark Rulers in my deck. Have you considered swapping out one of the CEDs for an IMT? It will protect against the general destruction and allow it to come back without resummoning.

I could see Jeroid going out for another Slate Warrior potentially, with Skill Drain out there, Jeroid doesn't get to do much. Maybe even consider a Cyber Archfiend to give you defense and not worry about it getting destroyed.

All in all I really like this. Welcome over to CoG!

Jeff? You meann Lion-O? I don't know, he always strikes me as being a lucky dueslist more so then a skilled dueslist. Well compared to Demetrius anyway.

What kind of deck was Skye running and how did you fair against it?

Why, thank you. I went through hell and high water trying to get the Skill Drains, though. They're quite rare in my area.

Well, take this into account, with three Newdoria's running rampant in my deck, they'd be afraid to attack a face-down card. I'll just destroy the Golem and remove it for Necrofear. Then Dimension Fusion it back for massive damage. (I only do that when I have a clear shot at their Life Points.)

As for the second Dark Ruler, I'm not so sure about that, but this will be addressed in the next section of the message.

Interdimensional Matter Transporter? As a matter of fact, the idea had never occured to me. I'm thinking that I'll do that. Thanks.

I need to find another Slate Warrior first, lol.

As for the Cyber Archfiend, I'm not too fond of that idea. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Thanks. It's from the help of Digital Jedi that it's this good in the first place. I give the most credit to him. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be so open-minded about the cards I use in my deck.

Skye was running a Necrovalley Deck. With the Gravekeepers and everything. I lost the first round, won the second, and lost the third. Would've won the third if I would've been able to summon Necrofear. He activated Necrovalley on the first turn.

Ouch. More and more I'm thinking of reconstructing some decks to suit Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell more readily.

Oh, one more thing.

Two more actually.

Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity.

...

Their gone too. <covers head>

EDIT: But Dark Hole is back. :D

Skill Drain does not stop the Cost of keeping the monster on the field so it would still cost them 1000 per turn to keep it there....

Deck looks way cool .. maybe Giant Trunade.. but thats about it... I like it.... welcome to COG... laterz

Thanks for telling me that, you guys. Even though I knew this already. It's also thanks to Mark that I use the text on the cards and whatnot like that that I can decide how effects work and how well stuff will work in my Deck.
