The Creator VS. The Creator?

the creator states you can only use "this" effect once per turn. But what if you have two "The Creator"s on the field?

Similar cards with this problem - Twin-Headed Behemoth (before it was restricted)

If you have multiple "The Creator" cards face up on your side of the field, each one can use his effect once per turn. The text is written to prevent you from reactivating his effect over and over and over and over etc. on the same turn. But each one can use it once.

Hmm, if that is the case, I would have thought his effect would be this:

You can only use the effect of this card once per turn.

But instead, it is like this:

You can only use this effect once per turn.

Kind of ambiguous but thanks for the clarification.

Technically, even if it said "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" would have the same kind of ambiguity since "this card" can be applied to all cards of the same name... I know you wouldn't think that but given the way they rule some things ("Inferno Fire Blast" targets 1 "Red-Eyes B. Dragon", yet none can attack?) you really need to take it with a grain of salt.

Now granted, I'm trying to use a little logic here. If you only had 1 on the field, that text was there to prevent it from using the effect multiple times and in essence having 4 "Monster Reborns". But I can't see where if you had 2 on the field, it would be a problem to let each one use the effect once per turn.

I think the issue here might be that the Japanese Translators had no problem with that grammer.

It might not make exact sense to us, but if they think it does make sense then they are not likely to alter it.

We've had this issue with them in the past. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. Sometimes you have to let small things go to get the big fixes in place.

Oh...You mean like let stupid small rullings like...say.."Last Will" questions that keep popping up vs. say..."Hallowed Life Barrier" which in Japan is a Beefed up "Waboku" intended to protect you and your monsters...but no...>.<

NVM....The more I think about HLB the more I want to kill someone....>.<

Hallowed life barrier was a pretty good card, until they said it doesn`t protect your monsters, it is the same as null and void which would have been a dangerous card until the "last thing that happens in chain" appeared and made that card useless.

Going by the text on the card it sounds like it would get a similar ruling as Inferno Fire Blast, to where you can use that effect only once per turn regardless of having multiple Creators on the field. So really the only way I have seen that allows you to use the effect more than once per turn is the one they have listed in the rulings for the card. And that is to where you can use the effect, have him flipped face down, flip him face-up again and then you can activate his effect a second time.
