Cool title huh? :D
Anyways...

I thought if this deck-combo last night, trying to combine the best of two monster types (with a little added help) to form an alliance of Dark monsters. Without further ado, I present to you my deck:

Edited to reflect the current situation. It is in need of a side deck. Any ideas besides Cold Wave?

Very nice deck. I had actually tinkered with making a deck like this for awhile.

First off, even with all the Special Summoning, there are too many Tribute mons. Get rid of Maju and Despair. I would also suggest adding either a Dimension Fusion or a Return from the Different Dimension, which can not only set up a massive field presence (and potential OTK) when combined with Dark Necrofear, they also help the Zombies by bringing back a V-Lord removed by DDWL or Bottomless Trap Hole.

But anyway, I like this deck a lot (Fiend and Zombie are my favorite types). Good Job :eek:rc1:

This deck look like it is screaming to abuse your opponent... It is also begging for you to put in Soul Exchange so you can further abuse your opponent......

Soul Exchange is a card in this Deck that really helps. It helps preventing the becoming of dead weight of Despair of the Dark, and you will easier get the 1-tributes on the field. Example: If the Jinzo of the opponent is annoying you, get him tributed ;) . As a best option: with Great Maju Garzett :D A 4800 ATK monster on your side of the field :p Won't you like that?

A second Call of the Mummy would be a safe bet. Otherwise this looks like a butt kicking deck. Your zombies just assist you fiends in being that much stronger and vice vera. Very nice job, let me know how it works.

Swapped out the Despair and Garzett for 2 Return from a different dimensions...it didn't work out too well last night.

It was the usual bunch. 28 players, 5 rounds of Swiss.
Game 1: started out as a burn deck, then he did a 180 and put out Injection on the field. Opponent didn't have a clue about my deck the first match, but was able to come back. Lost that one 2 to 1.

Game 2: paired down against a new player with a beatdown deck. Won that one easily with 2 to 0.

Game 3: frustrating. This guy had an aqua deck and was able to stall the f**k out of the game. He won 1 to 0. NOTE: need monster and s/t removal against these players...he had a smug grin on his face because he bet me. I told him I do NOT appriciate slow tactics when I play a fast deck. But anyways...

Game 4: paired against a good mate with a Horus deck. Somehow he wasn't able to keep his LV 8 on the field. Won that game 2 to 0.

Game 5: I just couldn't pull the right cards against this beatdown deck and lost, 2 to 0.

Conclusions: I need faster field presence, monster removal and spell/trap removal. Any opinions?

PS: I did get a CRV pack on a dice-roll for the 'lucky losers' and pulled a Cyber Dragon... sweet :D

you could always put in Giant Trunade, and Heavy Storm... you might also look at Cold Wave.... Trunade and Cold Wave can be great if used before an attack, especially if its a finishing attack.... and since most of the traps people try to use now adays are chainable, except for things like Magic Cylinders...... you can afford to conserve them...

- Deck Devastation Virus
- My Body as a Shield
+ 2 Giant Trunade

-1 Giant Germ
-1 Giant Orc
+2 Soul Exchange

Try that... I like Giant Germs with Creature Swap... but 2 should be sufficient.. and the Pyramid Turtles should help greatly with Field Presence... Pyramid Turtle is great for pulling out V.Lord and Ryu Kokki, so that should be ok....

You have 3 Book of Life and Call of the Mummy ...... drop one of those 4 cards for a Snatch Steal...

I think these fixes will help with your field presence, ALOT.... and also help with your opponents S/T situation.....

I would side a coupld of Cold Wave just in case they are hurting you with their spells from hand instead of traps.. then you can drop them in instead of the Giant Trunades..... Hope this helps.....

Ahh, the alliance has been kindled indeed.

I really like it, and unfortunately don't have much to offer. But have you pondered pulling something out of the old days of yore and running a Castle of Dark Illusions? Its gota solid defense and can provide some permaboost to those Zombies for a few turns. Maybe some Tsuk abuse and you'll have them running for a while. 8^D

I have to say, I don't see why Castle of Dark Illusions and pumpking don't see SOME play. They're bad, but not that bad.

-pssvr

Hey, Pumpking is awesome (bad, but awesome). They sould make some cards that support a Zombie/Fiend alliance, like the ones that support Warriors/Spellcasters. Something like:

KING OF HALLOWEEN - PUMPKING
Dark/Zombie/6/1800/2000
Effect: As long as this card remains in play, at the beginning of each of your Standby Phases, every Zombie and Fiend type monster on your side of the field permanently gains 100 Attack points for every Zombie and Fiend type Monster on the field.

NOTE: This is NOT a real card. I just made this up off the top of my head.

I think maybe the reason they don't see play is because their effects boost their attack, yet they already HAVE attack. Which would you rather play: Jinzo, or a monster with the same stats as Jinzo, but an effect that let's him gain 500 ATK per turn? You'd take Jinzo, because 2400 doesn't need to be increased.

Personally I dont like Jinzo, so i would take the latter...... I would take Dark Ruler over him anyday, just cuz its an easy kill, plus he has an awesome effect...

Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer

Regenerating Mummy
Slate Warrior
Spirit Reaper
Royal Keeper is a good card, probably better than Regenerating Mummy, I would add another Spirit Reaper, maybe a soul aborbing bone tower or two, and the most important one Night Assailant. Of course you could decide to go with Goblin King to speed it up a little and have power, or go with the limited Protector of the Sanctuary.

Giant Trunade
Mystical Space Typhoon
Nobleman of Crossout
Premature Burial
Snatch Steal
Soul Exchange
Soul Exchange
Tribute to The Doomed
Brain Control to steal a card and tribute it, and Card Destruction so your Zombies can be more effective.
Nobleman of Extermination is a great trap killer. Giant Trunade is not slowing you down? It always seemed to me that it caused me more problems than my opponent, but that just me.

Traps:8
Call of the Haunted
Ceasefire
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Return from the Different Dimension
Return from the Different Dimension
Sakuretsu Armor
Torrential Tribute
Waboku
Looks pretty routine to me, maybe get rid of the Waboku for something more daring like Cemetery Bomb (just Kidding).
I hope that any of this helps.

Okay...the deck I used didn't work out as well as I thought.
Here's the deck and sidedeck I used last Friday:
Monsters:
Castle of Dark Illusions
Dark Necrofear
Dark Ruler Ha Des
Giant Germ x3
Giant Orc x3
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
Newdoria
Night Assailant
Pyramid Turtle x2
Regenerating Mummy
Ryu Kokki
Slate Warrior
Spirit Reaper
Vampire Lord

Spells:
Book of Life x2
Call of the Mummy x2
Confiscation
Creature Swap
Dark Hole
Giant Trunade x2
My Body as a Shield
Mystical Space Typhoon
Nobleman of Crossout
Premature Burial
Snatch Steal
Soul Exchange
Tribute to The Doomed

Traps:
Call of the Haunted
Ceasefire
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Deck Devastation Virus
Return from the Different Dimension
Sakuretsu Armor
Torrential Tribute
Waboku

Sidedeck:
Book of Life
Brain Control
Cold Wave x2
Creature Swap
Goblin King
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
Nobleman of Extermination
Protector of the Sanctuary
Pyramid Turtle
Return from the Different Dimension
Royal Keeper
Soul Exchange
Summoned Skull
Vampire Lord

Now, as for the results of the matches. Again, 5 rounds of Swiss:
Game 1: another Zombie deck. He pulled better then I did and won 2 to 0. NOTE: he had big hitters, like Despair from the Dark.

Game 2: paired down against a beginner with a beatdown deck, just like last week. Won it, jsut like last week, with 2 to 0.

Game 3: a Spellcaster deck, a rather nice build too. Too bad for him I won it easy, 2 to 0.

Game 4: a beastdown deck, the usual (Enraged Battle Ox and a few other Beasts too). Got defeated, 2 to 1. NOTE: final game was truly in his favor, he just pulled better cards.

Game 5: a long match against a beatdown. Tied, 1 to 1. NOTE: the opponent boasted before the game that he'd win from me easy. I showed him wrong...I guess.

Any ideas on how to further perfect the deck?
