I was just wondering if my opponent could exiled force to destroy the end of anubis as the end of anubis negetes the effects of monsters spells and traps that target and activate in the graveyard?

If you meant Skill Drain instead of The End of Anubis, then your second conclusion is correct. Skill Drain only negates the effects of face-up monsters on the Field. Exiled Force is no longer on the Field, when its effect resolves. The End of Anubis does not negate Exiled Force because Exiled Force's ignition effect does not activate in the Graveyard.

Sorry for delayed responce, I do not have frequent access to the internet and needed to read a lot of what has transpired here while also "working".

Yes, I did mean Skill Drain. My responce was in refference to post #3

thanks for that.

i,ve got another question on exiled force where does exiled force activate because tributing it self is a cost and thats why it isn't negated by skill drain.

lets see if i've got this right it can resolve in the graveyard and if it's removed from play by a card like macro cosmos.

so where dos it activate

It was just after The End of Anubis was introduced into the discussion, it was on my mind and confisued my fingers (hay, thay are old and easily confused).

Hense, I posted
Just a note. It ACTIVATES on the field. The EFFECT resolves on the field.

As why The End ALSO does not negate it. THen I typed The End again instead of Skill Drain. Sorry. :sorry

I'll try harder. :eek:rcspash:

Chalk up another FAQ change due to COG!

OK, from henceforth, Duelists need not confuse themselves due to erroneous ruling under Skill Drain which used to list Exiled Force as a monster with a Graveyard effect.

UDE Dan has corrected that small oversight and if you check the UDE FAQ directly; Skill Drain no longer erroneously lists Exiled Force.

That's another FAQ correction triggered by challenging conversation on this site.

I apologize if a few of you lose further laughs due to this FAQ change, but for myself, I'm saving a few more hairs from falling out or turning grey, now that it is corrected!

You dont know how many times I try to go to a place where they just Casual Duel, and get asked this question, based on the Skill Drain Ruling. Now, I can just tell them since they know where to look it up, try looking again.... :duel_no

I know the frustration well. ;)

There was a second round of questions regarding Exiled Force and Banisher of the Radiance and Macro Cosmos. Many RFP players insisted Exiled Force did NOT get its effect because it was a Graveyard effect and the monster was removed from play rather than going to the Graveyard.

Hopefully, the confusion will soon end...
