The Flute of Summoning Dragon and Horus Lv 8

My question is very, very simple: can Horus The Black Flame Dragon Lv 8 be summoned by the effect of The Flute of Summoning Dragon with Lord of D. on the field? Or must Horus be summoned via the effects of Horus Lv 4 and Horus Lv 6?

Horus LV 8 can not be special summoned by Flute of summoning dragon.

It may be special summoned by Lv 6 or by Level Up! only.

Thank you, my friend and I have been having this discussion about the effects of the Flute with Lord of D. and have been really coming up stumped. Now, all I wish is that that would be made an official ruling, because you know there are going to be people trying to summon Horus via the Flute and Lord of D.

Again, thank you for your help.

It says in the card text itself that "this card cannot be special summoned..." no need for a ruling.

I totally understand that, but I'm talking about for those who don't get it, which to me, basically means they don't read the text on the card. Kinda reminds me of Magic the Gathering. You have to read everything and pay attention to the game, whether it's building a deck, playtesting it, or even playing in a tournament.

But basically, the reason I was asking was because of a small dispute at a tournament I was at last week where someone summoned Horus via the Flute and Lord of D. We had the same discussion, and I thought that an official ruling would completely clear any and all doubt about it from everyone's minds. (It would probably also help out those who wish to summon the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon as well, seeing as how until UDE prints a playable Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, we'll never be able to play the card in an official tournament.)

thats because thouse cards have conditions.

if a condition cant be met then to bad.

its like trying to say that you can summon chaos emperor dragon with the Flute of summoning dragon.

IMPOSSIBLE!

why because the cards specifically states how it can get summoned.

if by this point in time you cant understand when stuff happens then oviously you havent been paying mutch attention or just neglected the fact that in some situation you will lose.

some times, when im about to lose, i try to extend my turns by much as possible if i can then prolly i can win. sometime even by effects.

I really don't understand what the problem is, other than the fact that you and the people you play with won't read the card. It's pretty self-explanitory.

Well, there are other people who attempt to do that, that do not understand what the card says. I only posted asking for confirmation so that those who WON'T LISTEN, will listen when someone who has an official say in the matter speaks up.

I understood the card text, because I play the card. Besides that, I've built a deck that abuses Level Up!, and has gotten out Horus Lv. 8 consistantly. No need for Lord of D. or the Flute. Anyway, I digress.

As I said above, I was only looking for an official ruling so that we could play by the rules instead of having someone argue that it can be done in a way that is not allowed by the card itself. That's all I was asking. Thanks for all your help.

BTW, please make sure that all other rulings questions get asked in the appropriate board.

That board being the Rules and Regulations board under the Duelist Kingdom section of the forums. I will not move this thread there due to the fact that it was answered and it can just sit away and rot in the board, but I want all rulings questions to please stay on their appropriate board, any moderator of this area should move questions there immediately if they're found outside of that board.

Thanks.
