The Legendary Fisherman / Guardian Kay'est

I hadn't seen it but to double check with the experts since these two have been mentioned a bit lately.

We all know that if TLF+Umi or GK'est is the only monster face up on the field, then the opponent can attack directly.

Would that mean if I have 2 TLF+Umi, or 2 GK'est or 1 TLF+Umi and 1 GK'est on my side of the field, then the opponent can't attack at all, essenially creating a lock?

:argh: NO CHIQUITO THAT'S NOT POSIBLE THIS IS PART OF THE RULING :boxing:
Guardian Kay'est" is not affected by Spell Cards, just like "The Legendary Fisherman".
:band:
Your opponent cannot select "Guardian Kay'est" as the target of an attack.
:band:
If "Guardian Kay'est" is your only monster on the field, your opponent can attack your Life Points directly.
I GOT A WATER DECK AND I HAVE TO TAKE THE TLF OUT OF IT BECOUSE U KNOW

You'd definitely create a lock on your monsters not being attacked, but you wouldnt be able to Normal Summon or Flip Summon Guardian Kay' Est face-up since there is no way to equip The Legendary Fisherman with Rod of Silence.

So the only way to have those two monsters face-up at the same time (without another monster) is if Guardian Kay' Est was attacked face-down and flipped face-up and survived the attack.

And at that point, your life points are wide open....

If you have 2 The Legendary Fisherman + Umi, 2 Guardian Kay'est, or 1 The Legendary Fisherman + Umi + Guardian Kay'est and that is all on your field, your opponent can still attack you directly. This is still not a Marauding Captain/Command Knight lock. This is part of the effect/ruling of The Legendary Fisherman/Guardian Kay'est. If they are on the field, they can't be attacked. If there is nothing else on the field, the opponent can attack directly.

You mean the Command Knight Lock. The locks of Marauding Captain and Command Knight are using loops. The Legendary Fisherman and Guardian Kay'est don't use locks or loops. I will explain it in a funny way, but I'll let the rest of the explanation to people more prepared for these cases:

Marauding Captains:
- You have to get through me first.
- No, me first!!

Command Knights:
- There is another monster. Kill it before going against me.
- The same. Kill the other monster. You can't? That is your problem.

The Legendary Fisherman / Guardian Kay'est :
- Just don't attack me. Period.

Talking about The Legendary Fisherman, look at the updated card text. Has the second effect lost its relation with Umi?  :-o
