The new limited list...?

Ehm...is this the right section of the forum?

Many players are talking about the new forbidden/limited list that will be effective on July 1st, because they believe some TLM cards will be limited...

I know the list will be renewed only six months after the last change, in this case we have to wait until October 1st..isn't so?

I wanted to give everyone a heads up on an IMPORTANT change to the rules regarding
card legality dates.

Effective with The Lost Millennium, cards will be legal for use as soon as the set
is out, EXCEPT for premier events. Premier events are things like regionals,
nationals, Shonen Jump Championships, etc. Those events will continue to have a
specific legality date for new sets. Those dates will be available here:
http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/op/policy/yugioh_policy.aspx

This means you can use the cards as soon as you get them for Duelist King
tournaments, Duelist League, Hobby Store League (once it's up & running again),
and other "local" tournaments. But for the big events, there will be specific
legality dates enforced.

(Exception: if a sealed pack tournament is run as part of a premier event like
a Shonen Jump Championship, and the latest packs were included, obviously they
would be legal for that portion of the premier event.)

Enjoy!

I would've thought that they would've probably already posted up the new restrictions if they were going to limit them.

If there was a new limited list it would already be posted on UDE's website at http://www.ude.com/yugioh

Just click the link that says "Forbidden" or something like that (I haven't visited that page in such a long time) and see if there are any new lists up there. If there is then there is a new list, if there is nothing up there, then rest assure that there is no list that goes into effect in a week, even UDE would have posted such a list more then a week in advance.

The Forbidden/Limited Lists are now updated every 6 months.

The US started its first Forbidden List update in October 2004. The next update came 6 months later, in April of 2005. The next update, then, is scheduled for October 2005.

Each time the Forbidden List was going to be updated, I believe the list was on the website nearly a month early. So expect the next update around the beginning/middle of September 2005 so that people have time for the date it's effective, October 1, 2005.

no, not a single card will be semi or limited from TLM.

the lists dont get updated untill 6 months from april like a few people already posted.

basically, if anybody says, Brain Control will be limited, its not. it will be legal in 3's till october were we will find out if it is demed to be limited.

Enemy Controller has been out since last year june/ july and i havent seen it limited at all.

Lightning Vortex only hit the list because it was predetermined to be limited.

notice by the time april came we already knew it would be limited.

usually you know something is limited by the way it gets abused in the ocg.
