When The Sanctuary in the Sky is on the field fairy-type monster cannot be destroyed right? (Battle Damage to the controller of a Fairy-Type monster from a battle involving that Fairy-Type monster becomes 0).

The monster WILL be the destroyed, but no damage is taken to the controller =)

RobinR is correct. The monster would still be destroyed, but any overflow battle damage would be 'negated', so to speak.

Sorry but, this effect is similiar to Waboku but with Waboku monster are not destroyed.....

That is correct. It is similar, but it's more closely related to "Kuriboh", "Winged Kuriboh", and "Hallowed Life Barrier".

Actually similar to Tornado Wall or Spirit Barrier. Waboku protects monsters as well as life points.
