I learned of this tonight through our own densetsu_x. I heard rumors over the weekend, but it sure does look quite real.

For anyone who knows how I feel about a particular employee of UpperDeck, you might want to seek out my post on page 11 and get a chuckle.

Well, after seeing it posted all day, I'm kind of past the shock, and have settled on the fact that it is finally going to be coming. I think the only thing that could make it even more enjoyable would be if we actually get a FULL release of Crush Card Virus in '07, as well.

Well, we could be getting the DARK Structure this year after all, and there's your Crush Card Virus!

I was in agreement that there was no way in Hades we'd be getting that structure, but now ... hmmm ... nah. No way in Hades :D LOL
 
Man, I am LOVING life right now! You know, this leads me to a slightly bigger issue, of what UDE is trying to do to the game. I'm sure it was mentioned elsewhere, but there was a BIG judge benefit that just went out with the STON preview and then there's added support for Archfiends, and now probably two of the greatest cards in the modern game are going to the "common man" What's going on here? Is VS on it's way out, WOW not shelling out cash and UDE wants to get something going?!
 
Or maybe, just maybe.... Someone took a look at the increased number of people being added to the Player Suspended List over the period since Shonen Jumps came into vogue, and how "Cheating" seems to be the dominant infraction. And for what? It's not for bragging right's because you won. It's so they can get a overhyped piece of cardboard, and sell it for thousands over what it actually cost to make it.

Why else are they being so "benevolent" in increasing the amount given away, and making the number of players who can compete for it, 16 instead of 8.

Devalue the Prize, make it accessible earlier, bring the game back to some kind of respectability at the Top Ranks, and maybe, just maybe, people will start having more fun, rather than trying to figure out ways of Stacking or Rule Sharking to get wins for a <100 dollar Prize Card.

Just the Rantings of a madman... Ignore me.
 
now that they're gutting the value of sjc prize cards - do you suppose that the prizes for winning a 'jump' will be $$$$???
imagine dropping 2-4 thousand for a card and a couple months later EVERYBODY has one.....ouch....great for us, but....

But what?? They are already giving away a 2000-3000 dollar Computer Laptop, a Ipod, Nintendo Game System... What more does anyone need or deserve?? Konami and UDE aren't making anyone go out and spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade their Decks every week a Shonen Jump Winner springs something new on the Meta, or when the Ban List changes. That's a personal choice. So rewarding it with heaps of money is a lot to ask for.

I wish I could get some of my money back for all the dollars I invest in my kids to compete in Sports every year, instead of a 20 dollar Trophy at the end of the Season. Where's MY reward??
 
Well actually card value for any decreases just about everyday, but in small amounts. Sadly the value of original Shrink will greatly decrease, but at least UDE waited for a while to make it available this time, for anyone who was smart enough to sell it as early as possible.
 
Awwwww. I want one of those but I wont be able to get one. The shops here suck and dont get good stuff like that. And online purchases are out. You guys are just rubbing my nose in it now.

Why is that? I pre-ordered some for a very fair $9.99 each. Are you concerned with getting ripped off, the overseas shipping charges, or just aren't able to buy online?

Its the last one. Its mostly due to the fact that while i can buy stuff online the absolute cheapest amount i can spend is €25 and more often than not I cant even spare that much. I use a prepaid card for online purchase BTW hence the minimum amount.

Oh the things id buy if i could afford them.
