Tragedy and Zero Gravity: Can this combom work?

Tragedy from RDS says "you can only activate this card when a monster on your opponent's side of the field in face up attack position changes to face-up defense position. Destroy all face up defense position monsters on your opponent's side of the field." So consider the situation, you opponent has 3 cards in attack position and you have zero gravity and tragedy face down. Oppo attacks and you activate zero gravity. Now I don't see that you can chain tragedy because zero gravity hasn't resolved and, therefore, the conditions to activate tragedy haven't yet occurred. However, once zero gravity resolves can you immediately activate tragedy since a card has switched position or is the timing somehow wrong? Or does the position change of the card have to be a manual change?

or just activate them in reverse order :p

step 1: their monster attacks
step 2: activate tragedy
step 3: chain tragedy to zero gravity
step 4: zero gravity will resolve first switching all of their monsters to defence
step 4: tragedy resolves to kill all of their monsters.

Playing the cards in reverse order doesn't work as I pointed out because the monster has to change to defense position as a condition for activating Tragedy.  In your example, tragedy would be an invalid activation because although the monster would be switched when it was resolved it wouldn't be switched before the card is activated.  However, I am glad to learn that tragedy is legal following (but not chained to) zero gravity.
