Ultimate Offering vs. Trap Hole

If monsters are Normal Summon/Tribute Summon with the help of "Ultimate Offering", chain linked to each other, will "Trap Hole" only destroy the last monster Normal Summoned or Tribute Summon by the effect of "Ultimate Offering"?



Situation 1.

I have an "Ultimate Offering" Active on the field.

On my Main Phase 1, I summoned "Sangan"
I used my priority to activate the effect of UO.
Opponent did not respond
I used the effect of UO and added it in the chain
Opponent chains with "Trap Hole"
Neither player Chains.

On resolution:
CL3: "Trap Hole" will destroy "Sangan"
CL2: I Normal Summon "Gemini Elf"
CL1: I Normal Summon "Mad Dog"

Is this correct?

Can Opponent decide which one "Trap Hole" will target?
Can Opponent chains a second "Trap Hole" to the first one?

It will destroy Sangan. Trap Hole is a targetting effect, automatically selecting its target at activation.

Ah...I get confused between "Trap Hole" and "Bottomless Trap Hole". The first is a Targeting Effect, and the second is not. Thanks DaGuyWitBluGlasses for the quick response.

Since I read the 1st scenario wrong, I'll amend that one to match what was said.

1) Yes "Trap Hole" can be activated and it will destroy "Sangan"

The other 2 don't change. "Trap Hole" and "Bottomless Trap Hole" will both only affect the last monster summoned in the chain. (Which is what Novastar said too). See above for the Reasoning. That should be your clear-cut answer.

This is why I asked you to define weather Ultimate Offering was already face up and active. Thanks for re-definging it. I could see that that novastar and densetsu X had read the scenario differently which is why they had different answers.

I often have to watch my wording or in what order I put it or it can easily be confused.
