Terrorking Archfiend, also known as Genocide King Demon, has to be one of the most powerful Lv4 monsters in the entire game. His effect states:

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned unless you have an Archfiend Monster Card on your side of the field. The controller of this card pays 800 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 2 or 5, negate the effect and destroy the opponent's card. The effects of an Effect Monster that this card destroyed as a result of battle are negated.

Basically this baby is a mini Dark Ruler Ha Des, Berserk Gorilla and an Archfiend combined into one monster. What's not to love about that?
If this card wouldn't have any drawbacks, it would have been uber-broken and would be banned immediately. One of the drawbacks is that you cannot normal or flip summon it when you don't have an Archfiend monster on your field, and another is a mandatory LP payment of 800 each standby phase.
Both of these drawbacks can be overcome by using specific tactics built around Terrorking.
The first one is using cards that allow you to special summon monsters from your hand/deck. Remember that you cannot normal or flip summon Terrorking when you don't have an Archfiend on your field, but that doesn't mean that you can't special summon it. One of the first card that comes to mind is the almighty Marauding Captain. When the captain is normal summoned, you can special summon another monster from your hand to support him in battle, that means that your Terrorking just got a new pal. Its strange though that Terrorking and Marauding work perfectly well together, but on paper they are supposed to be enemies, considering the art on Battle Scarred.

Anyway, the other disadvantage I was talking about is the mandatory 800 LP payment. This is hardly any trouble since 800 LP in exchange for a non tribute 2000 attacker effect negating partial protection fiend.
With only 2 drawbacks, Terrorking comes with TONS of advantages and support cards. One of the best cards to use with Terrorking is

Deck Devastation Virus
Trap Card

Tribute 1 DARK monster with an ATK of 2000 points or more on your side of the field. Check all monsters on your opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand, and all cards he/she draws (until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation), and destroy all monsters with an ATK of 1500 or less.

This card was almost made for Terrorking Archfiend. The best use for this card is to avoid destruction by a removal card. When your opponent targets your Terrorking with his red dot, you can activate this card by offering him as a tribute. When you do this, you actually benefit from his destruction. You get to see your opponent's set cards, your opponent's hand and the next three cards he draws. Further more, you also get to destroy all monsters in his hand, on the field and in his next 3 draws that have less than 1500 ATK. This totally screws your opponent's plans, destroying his Magician of Faith, D.D. Warrior Lady, Sangan etc.

Terrorking Archfiend has many support cards, but its up to you to find how to find them all.

Great review Shooky! Let's not forget the other factor that makes the Terrorking so immortal, his rolling attempt to negate targeting effects and his loyal supporter Desrook sitting in the hand.

I kid you not, one time, through the rolling and the revival option I flushed out my opponents Ring of Destruction, Magic Cylinder, and Mirror Force all on one turn 8^D I LOVED it!

Yes Desrook is a powerful ally to Terrorking, but the point of this article is to prove that you dont need an Archfiend deck to run this baby.
BUT, You can also splash in a Desrook or 2 when you put your kings in the deck.

Thanks for the repley.

Please note that the rolling option does not work with Mirror Force, but the revival with Desrook is still permitted. Terrorking Archfiend has quite a bit of potential, I am a little surprised people have not run him for the negation effect in Fiend Decks.
