Hello everyone. I was reading the card registry, and I came along the ruling that Vampire Lord is Special Summoned to the field if he was destroyed and sent to the graveyard from the hand as well as the field and deck. I don't think that delinquent duo destroys the card, but I just wanted to double check, as I have tournaments coming up, and I want to be well informed. Thanks for your time, and have a Happy New Year!

Neither card would destroy Vampire Lord. If he is "sent" to the Graveyard from your hand, or your opponents hand by these cards effect, he would remain in the Graveyard.

The only card capable of destroying Vampire Lord is "Chain Destruction", and since Vampire Lord is restricted to one, it would be very difficult to pull off, but now that RDS has placed so many opportunities for people to own one, it could happen if your opponent plays "Exchange" and then summons him to the field, or uses Change of Heart on a face down Vampire Lord then flips it face up....

straight from ude's website

When "Vampire Lord" is destroyed (by a card effect) while in your hand, in your Deck, or on the field, he will be Special Summoned in your next Standby Phase.

Despite the name, "Card Destruction" does not "destroy". It simply forces you to discard. So no, it would not trigger "Vampire Lord"'s effect.
what other card would "destroy" vampire lord from hand so that he is special summoned the next turn?

Currently in the US, there is none.

That MAY change once "Flaming Eternity" is released depending on how the text for "Deck Destruction Virus of Magic" is worded (you know, the "other" "Crush Card" that's coming out in that set) since "Crush Card" ("Deck Destruction Virus of Death"?) destroys cards in hand. That however is a Japan only card.

Well then yes... if the "Crush Card" ever makes it to the US shores, that would trigger V. Lord's effect. However for now, "Chain Destruction" is the only one that does destroy it and send it to the graveyard.

Chain Destruction? How is that posssible? Its a trap card right and it says:

You may activate this card when a Monster is Summoned,
Special Summoned or Reverse Summoned with an attack strength of
2000 or less. Destroy all cards of the same cards in its
controller's hand and deck. Shuffle that deck afterward.

V. Lord is restricted to 1 per deck.
