Not really clear on what your asking, but if you mean to ask, that if a searcher's effect will still activate after V. Lord destroys them, them YES it will, why wouldn't they get their effect?
hi our question is poorly worded i was dueling against darkerviper when we posted this question.
darkerviper had a masked dragon in attack mode and i had a vampire lord in attack mode.
so my vampire lord attacked his masked dragon and did live point damage so vampire lords effect activates as it's a mandatory effect but masked dragon is an opptional effect so would masked dragon miss it's timing.
Vampire Lords effect activates after he inflicts damage. Masked Dragon activates when it is sent to the Graveyard. Completely different effect activations.
Actually, there is no missing the timing. Their effects activate during different times in the Damage Step.
Vampire Lord's effect activates when Battle Damage occurs (same time that Don Zaloog would). Masked Dragon's effect occurs after that once he his sent to the Graveyard (when Mystic Tomato would occur too).
Card effects that activate when a monster inflicts Battle
Damage to a player's Life Points activate, form a chain, and resolve now. (Examples are "Don Zaloog", "Airknight Parshath", and "Robbin' Goblin").
"Reflect Bounder", if attacked while in Attack Position, destroys itself now.
Sub-step 5: Resolve effects.
From this point forward, monsters are considered "destroyed". So monsters destroyed by "Dark Ruler Ha Des" cannot activate their effects, destroyed monsters are not eligible for selection by card effects such as "Hane Hane", etc.
Resolve Continuous Effect that involves destroying monster(s).
Activate card effects that do not activate when a monster is sent to the Graveyard and resolve them now. (Examples are all Flip Effects, "D. D. Warrior Lady", "Wall of Illusion", and the effects of "Slate Warrior" and "Royal Keeper" that increase their ATK and DEF. These effects form a chain and then resolve).
