Vennominaga the Diety of Poisonous Snakes

Hi I was wondering if Vennominaga was destroyed and then special summoned. Would something like solemn judgement and divine wrath stop its special summon? Or would it be uneffected due it its resistance to traps?

Since the only way The 'Naga will ever be special summoned is through another Card Effect, Solemn Judgment won't stop it (though it could stop Rise of the Snake Deity from resolving and Special Summoning it).

Divine Wrath on the other hand could be used against it when it tries to reborn itself from the Graveyard since it looks like it is a Triggered (and therefore chainable) effect. It's immunity would not protect it while it is not on the field.

ok thanks but solemn judgement wouldnt be able to negate its special summon via its own effect? I thought solemn could negate special summons from a monsters own effect

The answer is on the FAQ.

Vampire Lord:
"¢ [Re: Vampire Lord] If you Summon "Vampire Lord" (except by its effect) and he is destroyed by your opponent's "Horn of Heaven" or "Solemn Judgment", "Vampire Lord" will be Special Summoned in your next Standby Phase. When it is Special Summoned by its own effect "Horn of Heaven" or "Solemn Judgment" cannot be activated, because it is being Summoned by its own Trigger Effect, not by a built-in "this is how you Summon this monster" effect.

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys:
"¢ [Re: Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys] If "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" is Summoned (except by its effect), and the Summon is negated by "Horn of Heaven", it is Special Summoned during your next Standby Phase because it was destroyed by a card effect. When it is Special Summoned by its own effect, "Horn of Heaven" or "Solemn Judgment" cannot be activated, because it is being Summoned by its own Trigger Effect, not by a built-in "this is how you Summon this monster" effect.

The 'Naga would be no different than either of those 2.
